We rented automatic car, end up getting manual car with problem. Their is no way to get response/ support from any one in bookinggroup. This place & its staff is pretty amazing! They're knowledgeable about their business & they get you in there to fill out the paper work and they send you off in a rental... in barely any time at all! I'd most definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to use a rental vehicle.
I booked a car to be picked up at Europcar in Alicante airport. On arrival Europcar told me I booked through the US? I am european... Therefore I had to pay an additional fee of 300€ which I refused. Now Bookinggroup threatens me and they will charge me a no show up fee while I stood there for 2 hours and nobody helped me. Thank you gangsters...

The black day was on the 29th of December. Standing for over 1 hour in line for a car. It finally was my turn. The person at the dollar/Thrifty desk told me there were no more cars left. This has been 17 days ago. I stlll waiting for my money. I contacted them many many times. Don"t book with this company! I bought the insurance and still, the desk people still try to sell insurances that I didn't need or want. If they sell you insurances they get a percentage! That is why they try so hard. BookingGroup in awfull. They steel your money!be warned

Go on the suburbs if thé airport and they inform us that we could not Go to georgia and we have to stay in Miami!
Never mention by bookinggroup what a mess for an international airport! Back to the airport we have to pay for an other rental'at budget and bookinggroup now REFUSE to give us back our money while they did not pay the rental either!

When booking via Kayak it took me to booking groups site however the pick up location had changed from Luton to Stanstead i called immediately to be told they couldn't change the airport pick up nor give a refund?

Very misleading wedsite, was redirected to an American page and offered the best deal although was completely useless as I didn't have insurance to drive the car. Been contacting customer service for the past week but yet to get even a reply. Stay away from this company because they're support is terrible.

I was a little nervous as I had not booked through this company before; but was very relieved when the transaction went so smoothly. You just follow the directions in the airport to the rental car pick up and a shuttle comes very promptly to pick you up and take you to the car lot. There you confirm all information and pick up. The same for drop off just opposite. Their shuttle service is very fast and efficient
This company may be the least expensive option but their cancellation policy and customer service is the worst of any rental company I have gone through. My flight to Nürnberger was cancelled the day prior to my pickup date and I called only to be met with a rude customer service representative who stated they could not give me a refund but I would be able to submit a request via email and rushed me off the phone while canceling the reservation. I paid in full and submitted my request for a refund with the email showing my cancelled flight. A week later I received an email stating how they could not issue a refund because them and the rental company incur a loss of operating expenses (though I cancelled 24 hours in advance). When I was able to get a new flight I tried to contact support again to see if I could reinstate my reservation within 30 minutes of the cancellation and was told they could not. I ended up reserving a car through Expedia, which was comparable in price and my experience was the easiest to work with. They also have free cancellation through your reservation time and do not require payment until you pickup the vehicle. I was able to cancel one car two hours before pickup due to missing my connecting flight in Paris. I was then able to schedule a new vehicle and pickup time along with child seat within minutes and it took a maximum of 10 minutes to pickup the vehicle once we arrived. The price was also comparable, only £30 more for the five-day reservation. NEVER go with Economy Booking, you get what you pay for I guess.

I had a horrible experience with these folks. I needed to book a truck for a trip as mine untimely went into the shop. I searched Kayak and came up with a vehicle with these folks. I reveiwed the rental conditions and booked the vehicle. I then get a confirmation voucher from Routes car rental. On the voucher it stated no local rentals. I called to see about cancelling or refund but they said I would have to go through the 3rd party. I reached out to Economy Bookings and have gotten only the run around. They did not address my concerns and only sent a form email on why you don't get refunds/credit. They allowed me to book a vehicle with a local rental place using local information and local payment address. Then refused to address why they allowed that and why it was not listed in the rental conditions. I don't care how cheap they are I will never allow myself to be ripped off again by this business.
Your response here is also deceptive. The terms were not listed under rental conditions. You have already change the layout on your page since I filed this complaint to now contain it in that section. But, when I booked it was not listed under rental terms and conditions. I know you have responded and I do not agree with your assesment that is why I have posted my concerns online for others to be aware of your deceptive business practices.

We booked a car and on the day, the car provider supposed to come with a shuttle and take us to the rental location. They never showed up. The location of the car rental was not close to the airport.

I logged a full coverage claim on August 18th, and still to the time of writing on September 14th I still haven't heard back from the company - despite both providing all necessary documents as well as attempts to contact their service department. The customer service department is non existing. If you email, zero response. If you contact them by phone then you'll just get rerouted through various pre-recorded messages. Completely useless service, book directly with the actual car rental companies to avoid the same situation I've had.

They don't tell you when you get there that there will be a 500 deposit. If its a master card and it says debit on it they won't take it, which is the same card I used to book this booking! Agent told me to call and get a refund but nope, NO REFUND!
They WILL NOT refund you, they will offer a voucher. Which I won't use because I won't ever use their service again to rent a car! So over 400.oo I will NOT get refunded and I was stranded in Atlanta!

They set me up with Rent Car 4 Less in Houston. My flight was delayed an hour and when i landed i called to confirm the car was there. They told me to come over. When i got there, there is only a remote agent who informed me that the car was given away and although i called before, there is nothing he can do. I had to make my way back to the airport, lost $111 and find a new car rental on the spot.

In January 2023 I arrived in Milan with a booking from these guys. Up on arrival the rental company refused to give me the car, I immediately called the customer service and they told me they could not do anything and to apply for refund. I applied for a refund and the customer service keep on delaying any response claiming that they are gathering phantomatic supporting documents.
Long story short I incurred extra costs, they are stealing money from me.

Had a car rental with Routes through Economy Booking and bought the "Full Coverage" thinking its "Full", But could not pick up my car because the coverage doesn't cover anything, not 3rd party or collision.
They purposely make the wording confusing so you get the insurance and think that you are fully covered.
Because of their bad business practices, I could not pick up my car and had to sleep at the airport...
I recommend avoiding using 3rd party websites for your bookings, as they tend to rip you off.

I must say that this is a serious company that works without errors! I liked the car rented by me and it's good that I took a rental here
They providing misinformation to the clients. They offer very specific terms and conditions which some customers might not be able to fulfill. For instance Creditcards bank cards are not something very common in Europe.
I have not been able to collect the car I booked for 14 days due to not having valid credit card and they refused to offer to me any refund at all.
I do not recommend their service. Never had any issues with other companies.

I have cancelled my booking. No car no money. They have gone silent. Call center tells me different thing every time I call them. No help or whatsoever.
How is this possible that none has looked into a company based in Latvia that can do whatever they want violating any UK law as much as they can. They should not be allowed to operate here.

They advertise a price and only at checkout do they include all the forced add-ons and fees (20% of quoted price). They also advertised a 7 seater + 2 bags, but it really had no luggage space. And they wouldn't allow me to rent two smaller cars instead without charging an exorbitant fee. Go direct to the car rental form.

I booked Hertz through Booking group car rental Booking reference B******* for three days paid money upfront. I went from Dubai to San Fransisco. And Dubai now issued digital license. I read their terms which mentioned that I need to show license, my passport and my credit card. I waited in queue for 1.5 hours at airport car rental branch after which the Hertz denied giving me car as they wanted physical license. On asking for refund they told me to contact booking group. I wrote booking group and they kept tossing me from reservations to support. Initially they mentioned that they have mailed me terms but in my first email they can check it was only mentioned license and not physical. And who knew that San Fransisco is so backward than Dubai that they wont accept digital license. I wrote the emails but they just tkeep telling me that they need physical license which was not mentioned clearly. And my digital licensee shown was with proper bar code and details.and to my surprise when i went out in city i easily could car on rent by showing my digital license at Hertz. Attached is my rental details with digital license.
No body could yet explain me why I was issued in city and not at the airport car rental. I asked to take this matter with Hertz and since I was not issued car, need to be refunded my advance. But even despite complaining by email so many time no response. Very bad service.please resolve else i am goint to daily write the review unless someone listens to me

Yep, they do make car reservations through their website. No, they do not follow through when the rental company - Hertz or Thrifty in this case - completely fails confirm your reservation through whatever faulty internal credit card reading system they use. DON'T USE IF YOU HAVE A CREDIT CARD FROM A MAJOR FOREIGN BANK BECAUSE THEY WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF.

If I could leave zero stars I would. This third-party company does not fulfill its reservations. I had a terrible experience. I booked a car a week before I needed it, and was refused service by the actual rental company when I got there to pick up said vehicle. They could not help me, and could not explain why I had already paid in full $600 and could not have a refund. I have written emails, called support, and they say it will take 21-28 business days before my issue is addressed. I don't know about you, but I don't have 3 weeks to dedicate $600 to while I'm on vacation. This is ridiculous and really awful service. I spoke to several humans working for this booking company who told me 'it's just not my problem'. I am livid.
