I really should give 2 stars but I was actually impressed because I half expected it to be somewhat bad/cheap but thought "what the hay I have money to blow". Let's admit it, there are some warning signs on the website (site-wide 50% off, expensive at times, no reviews, slight bugs, and you've never heard of it). At least they kind of tried though? Lol.
I bought 2 dresses, a maxi skirt, some belts and a pair of shoes. The "one size" belts worked for me but don't even bother with the 105cm ones unless you have a smaller rib cage because you still have to pull and cinch because the holes only appear maybe 10cm in. My rib cage is maybe 36 inches and it worked but it's tight. The shoes are good. I thought the first dress' cut was a bit off but it's actually fine. I carefully compared the pictures on the website to what I got and I can say that for all except the maxi skirt, the pictures are real. Perhaps they rushed and gave a very similar maxi skirt? (Don't discount other reviewers bad photos though!)
I only had a real issue with the 2nd dress that was the wrong colour. The sticker said the colour I ordered though (wanted khaki green, got black). The maxi skirt was way too long and has to be worn like a dress instead. Literally no woman is tall enough to wear it as a skirt. Trust me, I'm 5'8. It is also clearly not the dress in the picture. It's missing the top panel and string tie (both of which I would have loved). I can only wear it as a skirt if I make alterations. Thankfully none of these things actually bothered me too much (remember I didn't expect much) but it's definitely enough to never buy from them again or at least be extremely weary. I'd only consider it if I read even more of these reviews, and was willing to potentially lose the money or make sewing alterations at home. But why would anyone want to risk these things? I would certainly never recommend the website either. I live overseas and it took a week from the UK with standard shipping which also impressed me. I also appreciated the tracking system used and email updates.
Even if I considered returning, I wouldn't bother because it seems people had issues with getting money back and had to pay for the return shipping. The quality of all the items was actually good so I'll just keep them even though 2 were not really what I wanted. Hope this helps! Happy shopping!
I made the huge mistake of purchasing a couple items online from Boohoo. All 5 of the items that I had purchased were marked down by 60% as Boohoo was having a "60% off sale" on almost all of their items. I was really excited that I was getting such a good discount on all of the products I intended on buying.
I go to the checkout page to see the total amount of money I needed to pay. For the 5 items I bought plus shipping & tax, I see my total to be $82.19. I enter my credit card information & click pay. As soon as the screen reloads, I see that it shows that my order total as $175.99 & not the $82.19 that I was seeing before. I was extremely confused as to how the numbers changed so drastically since all of the items I bought were on sale & at a discounted price. Immediately, I go to cancel my order but find out that Boohoo has a no cancellation policy (which is extremely stupid & should definitely be implemented). I then start to try & find ways to reach out to their customer service. They do not have a direct phone number you can call, so I tried reaching out to them via various platforms such as email, Instagram, Facebook & WhatsApp.
I was extremely frustrated as so many Boohoo customer service representatives responded saying that they do not see any discounts on my order & that I paid the correct amount (which is seriously so freaking dumb because their whole site was having a sale, how do they not know that themselves.?). I tried sending them screenshots of each of the products I bought & their marked down prices to show that I was overcharged for each one. To that they responded saying that the screenshots I sent didn't come through on their end so they had no idea what I was referring to. During the process of all of this, I kept getting messages from each of the representatives saying that I should "stick to one platform" or "this is already being dealt with by my colleague". I literally was not getting the help I needed which was very frustrating on my end having to jump from Instagram to Facebook to WhatsApp.
Then finally after about a million tries, I received a message on WhatsApp from their customer service saying that after viewing my order I WAS indeed overcharged for the items I bought & I was due a 60% refund. I was then told that once my order was delivered, all I had to do was send them a message so that they can refund me 60%. I thought this was really strange because why couldn't they just process the refund right away? Why did I specifically have to wait for my order to first be delivered? I asked them about that to which they just responded saying "Sorry, we cannot make any amendments to your order right now". I then asked them if there was any sort of reference code or something they could provide me with, so when I do ask for the 60% refund it doesn't seem random or made up. They just said there is nothing they can provide me with & all I had to do was reach out whenever my order was dispatched (a new customer service person mentioned this) or delivered.
The next day I saw my order was dispatched, HOWEVER one of the items that I had purchased was OUT OF STOCK so they had to cancel & refund my money for that one item. This is when I was really shocked at how poorly ran their company is because why would they even process someone's money if the item is not in stock, or why would they show that it is in stock when it is clearly not? I shrugged it off since I was getting the refund for the canceled items, but I was still overcharged for the other 4 so I had to fight for my money.
I then proceeded to once again reach out to their customer service via WhatsApp. I had taken screenshots of each of the messages they sent regarding the promise to refund my money so they would know that I'm not just making it up. I swear as soon as I sent the message, I had a feeling they were going to ghost me or something. For a couple of hours I got no response, so then I started reaching out to them on Instagram. I then got a message on WhatsApp saying, once again, to "stick" to one platform to avoid confusion. I literally responded saying that I'm not getting the help I need & I once again explained the entire situation. Then, I get a message back asking me to provide my bank account holder's name, my account number, and a swift code (which I have no idea what that is). I thought it was definitely weird that they were asking for my bank account details. I asked them why they couldn't just refund the money back to the card I used during the time of payment to which they said " We can't refund back to the original card, but if you have a PayPal email address" they can refund it to there. Tell me how I made a whole PayPal account & provided them with my PayPal email address just for them to refund the money back to my card.
Long story short, I will never be shopping from Boohoo again. Their customer service is not only extremely slow, but also they are not very well-informed on their sales/refund processes/products, etc. They also had communication issues & typed in broken English which was confusing to understand at times. Boohoo as a company is not well organized. They overcharged me by almost a $100. If I had not fought for my money, I'm sure they wouldn't have even bothered to realize their mistake & refund me. I'm also annoyed at how the one product I was looking forward to receiving was out of stock & they tell me that after I pay for it. Seriously, I was so exhausted trying to chase them to get this sorted. NEVER again.

Have made 3 orders in the last month and each time has become progressively apalling. The first order arrived damaged and after arguing vehemently I was given a refund
The second order was made by next day delivery and it didn't turn up until 3 days later again no real apology apart from being offered a free delivery code, just blamed the delivery company and took no responsibility
This most recent order made on Friday again by next day delivery still hasn't arrived, contacted them on the Saturday and advised them it hadn't arrived they gave me this pathetic story full of lies and fabrication that it wasn't if you ordered before 11pm as advertised all over their website to get it next day but actually 9pm and they actually think customers will accept their lies
Told them I was not accepting that and after initially refusing to escalate to a manager eventually did, the manager messaged me telling me what they said was correct and they were not liable for anything until 8pm yesterday (Sunday) and would deal with it if not delivered by then
As expected still no delivered package yesterday so now it's 2 days late, contact them to advise and get no reply
Wake up this morning (Monday) to get an email from Debenhams via Hermes saying my delivery had been returned and thanking me for returning the package when I hadn't even received it
Debenhams have no official complaints procedure which I find amazing and hard to believe and are not regulated by any body or appropriate ombudsman
This means they can do and treat customers however they want and you have absolutely zero comeback when they treat you like this
They are a disgrace of a company

I was super excited to order from them as my family and friends had good experiences with their clothing. I had a really tough time with delivery and return. The package shipped exactly one month after the "ship date". My package was in Jamaica at the same time it was reported to be in New Jersey. I later came to find out that they really did not ship and this was most likely just a notification that they printed the label. I was able to track that information down using the FedEx tracker. They emailed me a total of 3 times over a month and a half time period with updates that my package was on the way and would be to be soon... it had not been shipped! As soon as I realized the package would not make it to me in time for the holiday, I requested information on how to complete a refund request as I had already replaced the items. The order was full of gift items for my family. I intentially ordered 1 month prior to the holiday to be proactive. They told me to deny the package when FedEx attempts to drop it off. I informed them that the package doesn't require a signature and there is no way for me to know when a person is about to walk up to my house and drop the package. I don't have time to stalk deliveries. I finally received the package 1.5 months later. I requested a refund and they requested that I pay for return shipping. The return shipping tracking link lead to an error message. Once again... funny business with tracking packages. I finally messaged them again on WhatsApp and within the hour they issued the refund for the items. I paid a total of $15 bucks in shipping for a package I never opended. I will never order from them again. Everyone I spoke to that ordered items from them aroud the same time received their package within a week. They also waited until the late package arrived to respond to the Paypal investigation. Icing on the cake was when I came to find out that they provided a wrong address and the package was delivered to the wrong address. I checked my information and all of my address details were correct. I have never experienced this with any vendor. I was very disappointed in the process and how they basically still felt the need to charge me for shipping on a package that shipped one month late with incorrect delivery details. I ordered on 11/28/2020 and received the package on 1/15/2021.

Ordered some clothes in June to wear on my birthday in July. Everything was normal and moving along great until July 3rd when it said my package was stalled in Memphis, TN. After about a week of no movement, I reached out to boohoo to see what was going on. They assured me my package was still on its way and told me if I don't receive it by July 29th then I will "of course" get a refund for my order. I told them I ordered the product for my birthday on the 14th and at this point I didn't even want the package anymore. They said that I still had to wait till the 29th to receive a refund, whatever. So July 29th comes and I reach out asking for a refund and I get a response that says "you're package has recently been scanned and is on the move again! At this time we will not be issuing you a refund." Keep in mind it's now been over a month since I ordered, and almost a full month that the package has remained in Memphis, TN. I told them it was unacceptable that they are making me wait this long for a refund when this package is obviously lost and will not be arriving. They still refused a refund and told me if I don't get my package by AUGUST 16th then they will refund me. Mind you, August 16th was going to be almost a full TWO MONTHS since I had placed the order. I called fedex to see what was going on and they told me they intercepted the package and will not be delivering it because it was sent to them EMPTY. FedEx told me all boohoo had to do was contact them and they would confirm it with them. When I told boohoo this, they told me that this was not true and I'd still have to wait till the 16th. They also refused to contact FedEx to see what was happening. I have ordered clothes from a lot of companies and I have NEVER been treated like this. They continually went back on their word, refused to investigate, and practically told me I was lying because they got caught sending an EMPTY package. Once August 16th came around I messaged them again demanding a refund and they sent back "It seems like your package was lost! If you'd like we can offer you a refund or a replacement package!" These people are crooks and scammers that refuse to take care of their customers. I had to open an investigation with my bank, FedEx, and Afterpay because of these people. If you check their Facebook comments I am not the only one who has experienced something like this. Please do NOT order from this company.
I ordered on BooHoo and it's been a month haven't received my order. They don't want to give a refund. FedEx said the parcel came to them empty. May 16,2020 I ordered 3 items from BooHoo.com. I paid a total of $58.08 due to taxes and shipping. I was told I was supposed to receive my order within 9-11 business days. Today, June 15,2020 I still have not received my items. I have reached out to their customer service on FB and they told me that they were investigating it and that I should wait until June 17th to receive my package because FedEx stated that I should receive it by then. They said that because it has been stuck in Memphis for about two to three weeks now. It hasn't been moving. I would receive updates from FedEx that weren't really updates because the parcel haven't been moving. Now on the 11th the update finally switched to "In-Transit" days ago but still haven't left Memphis. I have been reaching out to BooHoo nonstop about this issue and they keep telling me to wait a little while longer. As I have been waiting, I decided to reach out to Fed Ex about it and open an investigation. I waited a week for that even though they stated they would call back in a day or two. When I finally called them again This past Sunday, they stated someone reached out but it was an invalid number but that was a lie because I never received a call and my phone has been on the whole time. FedEx told me over the phone that when the parcel arrived to them it was empty and that I should speak with the sell. I didn't have the best experience over the phone so I decided to message FedEx on FB messenger about it and they stated the same thing and that I should speak with the seller. I proceeded to screenshot the messages from FedEx and send it to BooHoocom's FB customer reps that I have been speaking with. They then stated they are investigating it still and spoke with FedEx and said that now I have to wait until June 27,2020 to receive my order unless the update changes then most likely I would have to wait longer to try to receive a refund. I stated to them that FedEx keeps telling me that my items were closed out because it arrived empty, BooHoo keeps stating that they have spoken with FedEx and that they both agreed on the new date and that my item should come before the 27th. I told them I didn't want the item anymore because I felt it was unfair and someone is lying and that I ordered the item for a special event that has now passed and I just want my refund. They keep denying me my refund. They keeps saying it's out of their hands now because the parcel has made it to Fed Ex. After hours of going back and forth with BooHoo through messenger, I asked to speak to a manager and they really didn't want to let me speak to a manager. They kept saying that the manager's response would be the same. I still demanded to speak to a manger. They said they would ask their manager to reach out to me. Well it's been a dull day and no one has reached back out. I have even sent messages today and now they are ignoring me. I went on their GB page and commented on their most recent posts to let people know NOT to order from them and I uploaded screenshots of our conversations. Come to find out MANY other customers are having the exact same issue as me in this time frame as well. Now I am noticing they are hiding my comments on there and responding to everyone else but me. I just want my refund back. I feel like as a customer, I should be able to get my money refunded back to me now and if I receive the item they should allow me to keep that as well.
I have never had to deal with such terrible, unclear communication from a customer service department in my life. First off, if it is your first time shopping with them, beware that for standard shipping they require a signature for delivery ALWAYS. The amount of packages I have ended up getting late because I had to pick them up from the post office since no one was home during the daytime is ridiculous. Don't want to have to sign for your package? Pay double the shipping cost and you won't have to. What a rip-off.
Second off, I recently had a very large order that I needed in a timely manner that got turned around and sent back to sender due to the post office trying to deliver it to my office on a Sunday when no one was there. (I tried this method since I have to sign for the package, and I am not generally at home during the day during delivery hours). I immediately emailed Boohoo about the fact that the order was getting sent back to them, asking if anything could be done since I had needed the order in a timely manner. They took so long to respond that by the time they finally did, nothing could be done. They offered to resend the package or refund it, and I asked for a refund, then was told they couldn't even start processing the refund until 4 days later. When I asked if anything could be done to speed that up so I could reorder my items quicker, again "nothing can be done." When my order was finally ready for the refund to be processed days later, I was sent communication asking if I wanted a refund (didn't I already state that I did?) or if I wanted them to resend my order as two of the items were now sold out. Thinking that meant they would take my original shipment, which has the sold out items in it, and ship it back my way, I opted for that. Only for them to answer back hours later that they were refunding me for those 2 sold out items. I explained that the reason I had changed my mind was because I thought that meant I'd still get those items, and instead I would like them to please cancel the resend and refund me for the full amount. I was basically hit with "too late." I asked to be able to communicate with a supervisor or a manager because I couldn't believe that nothing could be done, at which point communication from their end ceased.
If you're wondering if my order was handled by one person for clarity's sake, it wasn't. It was handed off to Anais, Kieran, Lauren, Haji and Abigail. Not once were any of my emails responded to within an hour of sending, everything took hours. I have spent a lot of money with Boohoo and been shopping with them for a long time, but please save yourself the headache and shop with Asos or Forever 21 instead. Their service is prompt and helpful, instead of constantly getting hit with "too late" and "we can't do anything" messages.
