“Scam Alert for English teachers”

SCAM ALERT: Blossom Hanoi. If you are ever to come across or have any interest in finding a teaching job through Blossom Hanoi, DO NOT. My friend and I had the WORST experience here. Everything they promote on their website is completely fabricated and misleading. They charge $175 dollars for a week of their recruitment service. The things they promise such as a full weeks training course, accommodation, sorting a working visa, finding a compatible job for your needs and guaranteeing you a $2000 salary per month is a complete lie. 1. UNWELCOMING. The training center is in the middle of nowhere. When we found it no one was there to greet us even though they knew our arrival time. 2. NO TRAINING WAS PROVIDED. We were forced to cover lessons in schools very far away (1.5 hours from hanoi) 6am-5pm unpaid. Luckily we had experience but if you have no teaching experience then your screwed. 3.NO GUARANTEED JOBS. As a recruitment company their one job is to find a job suitable for you. This is not the case, with blossom they force you into schools far away from Hanoi, long hours and extremely low salary. They will try to trick you into a job by guaranteeing a higher pay and the give you a false location. 4. ACCOMMODATION. For accommodation we were thrown into the nannys room, she got kicked out the bed onto the floor which was uncomfortable and awkward. Another teacher at the school was forced to sleep on the floor of a classroom. 5. UNFRIENDLY. During our stay, two other teachers were kicked out because they did not accept the job forced upon them and they questioned her motives. She was rude, did not listen or support the teachers needs. There was a huge language barrier which is a little inconvenient for an English recruitment company. We cut our stay short after two days and they even refused to refund our $175 that went straight into their pockets or even pay us for the free teaching we were forced into at their schools.
