I purchased wood faux blinds 2 years ago and they arrived quickly and were great quality for the price. I decided to order again this time for my living and dining room. My order was processed quickly and arrived within 5 days of ordering. I was very pleased at the quick production and shipping times. When they arrived I noticed right away that one of them was made way too short in width. There was an obvious error in production and they did not fit. I called customer service right away and they apologized for the error. They asked me to send a picture with the incorrect measurements and they would send me a new set right away. I was very pleased that customer service was willing to correct the problem and send me a new set of blinds right away.
The problem came with the new set being sent. My re order request sat for another week before I finally got a response that someone had received it. Then another week went by with no response or shipping confirmations sent to my email. I finally called customer service back to see why I had not received any confirmations via email (like I had in my oringial order) and they were having trouble locating my re order. I was on hold for over 20 minutes when finally the customer service rep came back to the phone.
She stated that she has located my reorder. When I asked why 2 weeks had gone by with no new shipment or confirmations, she stated that they were behind in production for this particular blind material. I can understand that these things happen, but what I don't understand is why my order sat for 2 weeks and no one contacted me about it to let me know what was going on.
Someone obviously dropped the ball and there was no communication about my re order. Although they were quick to try and make it better and get me my correct product, it took way longer than expected. There was a lack of communication to the customer which was unacceptable. They stated that their policy is not to send email order and shipping confirmations with re orders, which is ridiculous. I had no idea that my order was being shipped or when I should be expecting it. I am very unhappy with the excuse and half apology that I received from customer service. Someone did not do their job and although having a positive experience before, I may not recommend them for future business. They could have made this right and offered me something for their error, but they did not. That's unfortunate because they lost a loyal customer and referrals!
The faux wood blinds that I purchased from Blindster.com are excellent. I chose the oak color and they look terrific - very elegant. I would recommend Blindster.com to anyone.

Bought 2 blinds for the kitchen and 2 for the family room. Blinds in the kitchen were perfect in both size and appearance. Had one small issue with one blind in the family room, called customer service, rep sent out 3 additional magnets, received additional magnets in 3 days, fixed everything and family room looks great!

Never did this before. Read the instructions, got samples, chose, measured, waited. Then they arrived I read some instructions, put them up and I'm the hero. Everyone is happy and the Roman Drapes look great.
Very helpful customer service reps but I was disappointed that I didn't receive in the week to 10 days as promised. In too over 2 wks but they did allow me an additional 10% discount. Overall they were very good!
Excellent product that looks expensive but its not!
Most of the blinds came with a dented track, but the valance covered them. Three of them were cut improperly, and one of them didn't work at all, because they could not be opened or closed (vertices blind would not pull or rotate). The mistake proof guarantee which they said was free in fact was not, and there was a $15 charge to re-order per blind! The end caps on the valances are sloppy and just fall off. It's unfortunate to make a product work you have to superglue it!
I order a lot of blinds for property management and this was my first experience with blindster. I'm awaiting the products which have been re-ordered, which holds up my ability to lease or sell a property. It's also a pain and expense to remove the existing work and replace it (which includes removing all the slats, taking down the rail, then replacing the defective rail and replacing the slats, hoping they came down in tact!). All these before I've even used one!
I'm sorry you had a problem with your order! I will call you today because I show that your replacement blind and headrail were delivered yesterday.
Our limited lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects for as long as you own the blinds. And we replaced the damaged headrail at no charge (wand not working properly). The $15 shipping charge was for the fit or free remake of the horizontal fauxwood blinds that was needed at a different size. We pay for the new blinds and you just pay for shipping.

Your representative, James, walked me through an unusual shutter configuration measurements. The shutters arrived in about two weeks and upon installing them in about two hours, they were a perfect fit.

Customer service has been exceptionally great, but I am having major issues with the faux wood blinds swagging in less than a day! I have reordered the top quality ones and still have the same issue! Not quite sure what is happening.
After ordering several blinds and being very happy with the order, my next order had one item wrong. I had hoped that blindster would check with me before processing it since my last order was identical except for this item. Unfortunately they didn't and I paid the price.
I ordered blinds for 3 different buildings I have built, and each time everything hss worked perfectly.
I'm sorry you did not have a good customer service experience. At Blindster it is very important to us that we provide the best customer service on the internet. Obviously, we did not do that in your case.
