I first heard about BetterWorldBooks through a server I'm in that listed them as a reliable resource to buy books from. After doing my research, I found that they have sustainable practices in selling books as well as donating proceeds to literacy causes, both of which I wholeheartedly support. I also love that I can get such great deals on almost new books! All that together makes BetterWorldBooks one of my new favorite online book shopping sites.

In addition to the normal acknowledgment of an order these folks sent a creative delightful letter while the order was in progress. I won't give you a spoiler about what it said - you'll just have to order a book yourself to see. I shared a copy of it with all my adult children. One response was "Those are some people who really love their work." I agree and their support for literacy programs is a real plus.

The books I have bought, were always in the condition they said they were! I have never had anything damaged in shipping. The people with negative reviews, should just go to a Barnes and Noble and pay new price, instead of getting the same books for $4. Really? No complaints from me! Ordered 2 books recently for a book club... they were coming from 2 different locations (which BetterWorldBooks let me know upfront)... I assumed they'd arrive at different times. West with the Night by Beryl Markam is a collection of stories of her childhood and adult hood in Africa in the 20's and 30's (maybe more). I enjoyed the book so much have given copies to friends hoping they too will
Add it to their favorites. There are more books about Ms. Markham some of which I've read. Interesting characters. I favor BetterWorld books because they have a good literacy program, donating to those who cannot afford books.

Not only was my order handled smoothly, but they followed up with a clever shipping notice the following day. Love their wit and the timely mannerly with which I received my books.

In looking for a non Amazon owned source for an out of print book I found this site. Not only was I happy with the price but delighted when I found out how the site sourced its stock and what it did with the proceeds. Will now make it my first port of call.
International delivery was 23 days during pandemic and over a distance of several thousand miles. I consider that very good.

I'm from the Netherlands. I have been looking for quite a few books for a while. I found every one of them on this site. Cheap and in good quality.
Free shipping! It took 2 to 6 weeks for all books to arrive, but the holidays were in between.
Payments with paypal are easy to make. I only dont know how to confirm all books received. But the important thing is that i got them!
I recommend the site to everybody.
