Beer Advocate

This site is for real beer lovers! Their purpose is supporting and promoting beer through education and appreciation. I found here a lot of interesting facts about beer, beer's ratings and discussions, drinking tips, info on hotspots for dining/beer purchasing in big cities. A very friendly and clear design.
I'm sure it is a good idea to promote the positive view on beer drinking as beer antagonists often neglect much more harmful problems and habits than beer that may be even useful if consumed reasonably.

I constantly use beeradvocate.com to help me determine which beers are worth buying. It's especially helpful when I'm looking at a beer that costs more than usual, as sometimes their prices are inflated because of rarity, or some unusual process like barrel aging - but if the beer itself is not great, then it's not worth it to me.

Additionally, it's a great community of really interesting and educated people who are passionate about beer. You have to sign up, but it's worth it as they don't sell your e-mail address or anything like that.

Love-hate relationship - true story. My BF spends so much time on this website! He reads the different posts and threads for HOURS on daily basis! I think its great that beer 'geeks' have a venue as such, and Im actually slightly jealous because there is absolutely no topic in the world that I can spend so much time on... So I love it but I also hate it because I wish my BF would spend that time with me instead of with beeradvocate.com.
