Do not order anything from this company. I wish I had saw these reviews before i ordered. TRASH one you get it you will never reach a soul. You cannot ask any questions and sure cannot return nothing! Fortunately i only wasted 50 on a computer. TRASH. I will be doing a review on youtube of this company and pray that people see it before they donate they money. TOTAL SCAM.

Not to be trusted

I bought an iPhone for 290 euros. After a few days, I realized that it had multiple problems in receiving calls and the internet.
I asked for it to be substituted, but they told me that they are supposed to repair it before and then substitute only as the last option. However, after 15 days waiting, the SAME telephone came back with the SAME problems.
Now I asked again to be substituted, but I receive only robotic answer saying the same things as before. Thus, I don't have any guarantee that when I will send it again to the vendor they will substitute it this time.
It's a CHAOS and I cannot talk with a human being of the consumer service to solve my problems.

I spent $400 on an iPhone, in good condition, by a seller who had 4.8 out of 5 stars, back market gave me a 2 year warranty, the charging port stopped working, so I shipped it back to the seller, they replaced it with another of the same model, with an even worse functioning charging port. This is after 4 months of use. They wouldn't respond to my requests to either give me a refund or repair the phone, so I found the phone number I'd the customer service rep, his personal number, because they wouldn't return messages, and back market never even got back to me after multiple attempt s to reach them, I tracked this idiot down, who Proceeded to tell me to call the business number, I told him I had, numerous times, but no one will answer, and he said "we don't want people calling" no kidding, jerk. He requested a video, to prove the phone didn't work, I provided this and he simply accused me of lying. This is the worst nightmare. This entire company is a SHAM. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY

I purchased a used Iphone 6 last December 2019. The phone appeared to be in the described condition and worked for some time. In September 2019, I was playing a game while on a road trip and the screen glitched and went black. It would never start or turn on again. I sent it to them., They returned and said it has water damaged and screws and shields missing. Never has the phone been in the water, dropped in the water or did I take it apart to lose "screws and shield". If those things are the case then they sold it to me that way which is why it only worked for about 10 months. $160 down the drain. I am so disgusted. I am the first to admit when I have damaged something and I simply suck it up and replace it. THEY ARE LIARS! DO NOT TRUST! I should have read the reviews. AGAIN, DO NOT TRUST! WHEN THEIR PRODUCT BREAKS THEY WILL DO THIS TO YOU AS WELL AND YOU WILL HAVE LITTLE TO NO RECOURSE OTHER THAN TO WRITE A REVIEW LIKE I AM DOING... TRYING TO SAVE OTHER PEOPLE THE ANGER AND FRUSTRATION.

I bought a Mac Mouse 2 from Back Market and it should have had a charging cable with it. The charging cable didn't come with it. When I contacted Back Market they said I had to buy the cable. Forget it. I've spent $2000 there this year but they will not get another dime from me.

This is the worst place to do business with. NOT TRUSTWORTHY. It's like doing business with criminals! Their website has so many 404 errors and customer support is this guy Vinny (Idiotic at best). You have every reason to be freaking out because if something goes wrong they will not help you. Don't buy from this place!

Usually, when we need a phone, we usually need it fast because it broke or was lost.
So, BAD MARKET If what you do is ship phones that people have ordered online because you they want a replacement phone immediately it seems you'd want to get those phones shipped, fast!
Instead, the first phone, that was purchased to be unlocked, wasn't... so it took over 24 hrs for them to answer an email and another 24 hours to send a return slip, and another 24hrs before they would send out a replacement, not over night to make up for their first error, but 2 day mail, which really took 3 days and they sent it to the wrong address, even though, I indicated the new address in 2 emails to them.

They replied within 24 more hours, that they would send another return label. But it was at an address 8 hrs away.

Each step of this I noted my frustration at not having a phone, for a week... and there was not one acknowledgment of their error, not one, until after I went to Best Buy, bought a phone and got it hooked up,( in 3 hrs,. Dang, I sure learned my lesson) all they replied is
We apologize you had an issue getting your phone.

NO LIVE CUSTOMER PHONE SERVICE!
( the number they have included for returns has a 7 month old COVID message saying they only take email)

DONT DELIVER WHAT YOU PURCHASE

UNPROFESSIONAL,! SLOW TO RESPOND,
Vinny, head of customer service, includes a link, that may address something, but it doesn't work.
They Greg Head of customer jubilation, sends me a link to a response by someone else in customer service that says, we are sorry you had issues.

CUSTOMER SERVICE. No personal, Hail Mary.

Purchased an IPHONE. Arrived defective. They promised to reply with direction for replacement or refund within 24 hours. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. Still waiting for someone to assist. No phone number to call anyone. STAY AWAY!

There is absolutely no customer service. They will constantly tag your card whether it is a debit card credit card or any card for fraud and screw your accounts up. This website and the people on it are terrible. This is a scam warning stay away.

I bought a motorolla x and The phone apps does not work or download. Its very very slow? If i didnt want the apps and just wanted something to talk on i would have got myself a flip phone BACKMARKET. TAKE THESE REVIEWS SERIOUS GO SOMEWHERE ELSE that values you and your money.

They are probably worst place to seller your items on the planet. They will take high comission from sellers, in case of refund they wont refund comission, loads of returns, you pay postage charges to get returns through DHL.

Overall you will never be able to make money from Backmarket.

Don't use Back Market. My daughter bought a iPhone XS. Found out later it is locked because it is blacklisted (the previous owner owes AT&T).

Back Market's response? Not our problem! Talk to the seller.

Seller's response? No response!

You will lose lots of money and have lots of regrets if you use this site.

I bought a phone from them it never showed up... after contacting them i was told it wasn't backmarket that sold the phone someone else did and I should take it up with them... all I know. I wish had seen that they would steailng my money from me... no phone and they won't even give me my money back

I was freaking out because I read all of the negative views of back market just after I purchased a phone. I ordered a Stallone rating iPhone, and it arrived in 3 days when I ordered it on a Friday during the virus. The phone came with no scratches or dents. It worked fine for a month or so and then started glitching, and they were really helpful with sending it back. However, I had moved in the meantime. Before I sent it back, I asked if that would be an issue. They said no, so I sent them my new address. They shipped it to the old address. It really is not worth your time to purchase through them.

Poor customer service

Bought a MacBook on their website. Seller was helpful but Backmarket had very poor customer service. Requested a receipt that includes my card info, which the company refused to provide stating that they could not provide this "due to strict security reasons"

Instead of trying to learn from the feedback given, they've tried to flag my review as inappropriate. Any positive review of this company is a complete scam as any negative reviews get censored.

I bought a phone, the mailer delivered it to the wrong address (in 2020, how do you mess that up) and the phone was lost. It then took 3 months, 3 months! To get a refund. 500$ in limbo for 3 months. Hell It was a real technology detox if i ever had one. And BackMarket support absolutely wouldn't help or get involved. For all they act like they care, the don't even try to help mediate the situation. Really disappointing.

Received the "refurbished" iPhone. Delivery time was good in this COVID-19 crisis era.

When it arrived the battery was charged to about 39%. We tried to charge the phone and it would not charge any higher. We replaced the battery. [Please see the attached picture of the screen which has the broken holder which was discovered when we replaced the battery.]. It still would not charge any higher. Further testing yielded the iPhone Mainboard was defective.

FYI: We are a repair center for cell phones, tablets, computers, etc. We have been in business since June 2011. We currently operate two locations.

There were severe scratches on the screen which was not only visibly noticeable, but made the phone hard to use. [Please see attached pictures.]. BackMarket is a website made up of third part resellers. The BackMarket reseller Electro Wireless refuses to give a refund for the phone.

BackMarket refuses honor their guarantee which is on their website and give us a refund for the phone.

Do Not Buy From BackMarket. Do Not Trust BackMarket to do the RIGHT Thing. We may be contacted about the facts surrounding this review.

I have ored iphone 7 plus for a gift for a friend. I was told it did not work in Afghanistan. I order a ipad2 I know it was damged in shipping and glitches up. I tried to order a nother iPhone plus but ored a iphone 7. And canceled the order and waited 72 hours. For refund it was in pending my account when I ordered the larger phone. They resend my refund and charged me for 2 phones. And caused me to over draw my account. It was verry difficult to figure out how to complane and get my money back. I am visually impaired and have a learning disableity and need to get a phone number to talk to a person to Staten out my problem. They wonted to charge me 5 dollars to join a chat app to solve my problem. I am so agervated with this progress. I do not recomed this company. It is not worth the savings. The hasel they put you through for the unreliable product.

Complete disaster

I tried to order a macbook air for $900. My purchases were rejected FIVE TIMES for "suspected fraud" despite using different cards, calling my bank to approve the purchase, and trying on another account. I cancelled another order while it was pending as they had not refunded me yet for the "alleged fraud"—back market told me the seller processed cancellations and refunds. I contacted the seller, who told me they had no record of me in their system and no idea what was going on. Oh, and then I received yet another "fraud" email for my most recent effort to buy it with yet another card, and Back Market said they simply didn't know why I received the email and I hadn't been rejected yet. At this point, I have spent hours on the phone, send thousands of dollars back and forth, have two $900 pending purchases on my card for the same laptop and no answers from anyone about whether I'll even receive a laptop or a refund for my cancellation. This has been an incredibly stressful and bizarre experience, unlike anything I've ever seen, and they have not so much as offered to override the waiting period or directly assist me—or just give me a basic discount like other companies would. Severely disappointed, stressed out, and exhausted.
