Galaxy S21 buggy

Because phones are now so complex it took a while for me to determine that my phone was not right.

Sometimes it charges quickly as in 1.5 hrs or less, sometimes on the same charging setup it can take 8 to 12 hours.

My contacts have disappeared on the phone.

Do not like to do complete Samsung SmartSwitch backup.

Voice recognition is very poor, cuts off sentences and captures only part of my message. Yes, I have prefect English.

The Samsung music app will not play my complete music list, just certain songs which get
Repeated over and over. I know the words to 40 songs perfectly if I ever decide to do Karaoke

I have called Samsung so many times not wanting to believe the phone was bad, but now I know Back Market is not where to buy a phone. I have used Gizmo Trader with no issues and should have stuck with them, but Back Market offered me money for my old phone. In the long run it was a bad decision to switch away from Gizmo Trader.

On the last Samsung call last week they had me do a complete Factory Reset (pain in the 'A') and that seemed to take care of the music issue.

Try another company, or test Back Market's product very, very thoroughly before the warranty period is gone.

I bought a refurbished Mac book pro advertised as excellent condition, refurbed by "Omaha blue". Upon unpacking and booting up it failed to boot and gave an error message that the startup disk could not be verified. 61 hours and many messages via the "customer care portal" and I have yet to receive a response other than 2 automated emails stating help is on the way within 24 hours. I have now filed a complaint with the BBB, will I ever get a return label and my $1692.37
Back? Time will tell

This is my second order from back market. The first order had a shipping issue that was resolved, but not resolved well. Paid for overnight shipping as my phone was dead and reseller messed up and sent 2 day shipping which was on a Thursday so I didn't receive the phone until the following Tuesday. Was refunded the $25 for overnight shipping. Still would've never ordered if I would've known this going in. However, thought I would give them a second try. Ordered a Galaxy watch 5 pro. Item arrived on time, opened it and it was the wrong watch. Contact support, they start the return. Then I'm told I have to wait for the seller to receive the item back and if they have the right item, they will send it to me. Wait! What? So, I buy an item I send you the pictures of what was sent, noticeably the wrong item, and they are refusing to send me the item I bought until the seller gets the other one back? So, I kept messaging, customer service said they would escalate this case to contact the seller and get the correct item sent. Two days later, I call customer service, they are less than friendly. I tell them right away, I have nothing better to do today than hang on the phone with them until they send me my watch. They keep talking about policy, which is nothing but a bunch of words. I paid for an item I didn't get, and they are refusing to send it to me. The conversation only got heated once because the customer service person was being rude and constantly interrupting me. I was given the option of being refunded with an 8% restocking fee, I refused that as I just want the way h. So, they state they have escalated the case, and as I'm telling them that I don't accept this answer they hang up on me. Oh yeah in the hour and a half conversation, I was put on hold 6 times and put on mute twice. So I call back, and had a good conversation with another customer service rep who of course just lied to me. I asked to speak with the escalation team, and the escalation team is unavailable by phone, they can only be emailed, the email can't be given out. This morning I received an email that says the escalation team can't help me. They were just trying to bide their time until my return got to the seller and I'm going to venture that I still won't get the watch. So here I am, 2 day shipping. A week later and I still don't have my device. Needless to say I will be one of thousands who won't buy from back market again.

They won't send you one from another seller. They will refund you and keep 8% of your money. They won't contact the seller to have them send the correct item. They won't do anything for you except hang up on you. Oh, they did send me a 5% off my next purchase. SMH. That was just an insult.

I ordered a FitBit Versa from Back Market. I purchased the extended warranty and the money was taken out of my account the same day as my order. Long story short no money and no versa. Product was never sent to FED EX for delivery by the seller. FED EX confirmed the seller printed a shipping label but never gave it to them for actual shipping. The seller (Back Market uses third party sellers) said FED EX lost it int he back of their van.

To get my money back (takes 3-5 days), I have to print out a form, fill it out, and send it back in. This is a tech company without a fillable online form to request a refund. How in the world is that even possible! It is also impossible to find a number to call them.

I'm still waiting on my refund and would recommend no one do business with Back Market.

Terrible experience

I brought a refurbished iPhone 11 from Back market, unfortunately the Face ID and selfie modemed not work, so had to send back after deleting all data, then received a replacement, all good with Face ID. But then I checked battery health and it was showing 75% with a message saying YOUR BATTERY IS SIGNIFICANTLY DEGRADED. They guarantee at least 85% and say they do loads of check and only send out fully checked phones. They then offer me £21 to keep the phone.
This company does not care once they have your money and send out phones which they should not.
With all their TV advertising and website, its all lies.

I bought an 'unlocked' S22 Ultra which was actually locked. I returned the phone and they did not acknowledge receipt of the phone. Instead they put me in a perpetual loop with the courier that delivered the phone to the seller. They lied to me about the phone being locked because of some GSM issue due to my location but the reality was that the phone was locked by Verizon because the original owner of the phone had not paid for their phone bill. I verified this by providing the IMEI number to Verizon.
BackMarket promised to open an investigation but they never did. I had waited for 2 weeks to get an update but that's when I discovered that they didn't do anything and they were not going to.
My advice is to save money for a new phone or seek other alternatives because BackMarket cannot be trusted with people's hard earned money. My $454 might not be a lot to some of y'all but for a college kid working 2 jobs to pay for college and support my family it makes a huge difference.
Do not buy if you think you are going to return your device because you will be screwed over like they did to me.

Do not use

Ordered twice. Two broken phones. Sent them back as per return instructions. Neither have issued a refund. This company will wasde your time, money and you still won't have a phone.

Just can't get it right

Terrible company, bought a black iPhone they sent me a red one, I gave that phone away as a present, got a robotic apology, 5% refund and a promise so bought another one, they sent me a white one this time. Not much help from the robot in the conversation section again, just a refund which lets be realistic it's a 50/50 chance till it's on my account now and didn't even get a refund for the envelope and the bubble wrap the box the phone came was a joke too nor got the full refund missed £1.99 haha. Scammers

Sie verwiesen mich an einen beliebigen Mechaniker. Erst beim dritten Service wurde festgestellt, dass die Platine einen Defekt hatte und sich die Reparatur nicht lohnte. Back Market Garantie abgelehnt! KAUFEN SIE NICHTS VON DIESEM VERKÄUFER, SIE WERDEN OHNE GERÄT UND OHNE GELD STEHEN!

Terrible service

I purchase an iPhone 11 when I received it, the battery was critical and had to be replaced. I decided to send it back for a refund as it was useless for me.I was going to send in my iPhone 8plus as a trade in, I inadvertently put the wrong label on it and it went to their partner Decluttr. I contacted them and they said they would send the iPhone 11 back to me and going on two weeks they have not and are now not responding to my email so now they have my payment and the iPhone 11 and apparently cut off communication with me! Never buy from this company, apparently their gonna get away with it…

I bought 2 phone both phone was shipped in same packaged. When I returned the phone they only refund for one phone? When opened case for other one they told me to wait they will contract sailer. But after few days my account was suspended? Now I have a laptop had bought few month ago with 1 year warranty that don't work i will not able to get the warranty and $773 for phone never got it returned. Any idea how to file a case on his company?

I have not had any issues with the 8 cell phones that I have purchased through Back Market over the last 5 years. However, the tax rate that they charge me is 1% too high which is $10+ more per order. I first noticed this on a purchase I made over a year ago. Their response was to give me a $15 off code which only decreased the tax amount by a few cents, but they said that they would look into it which I really did not believe. Tried to make a purchase on 9/19/2023 and noticed the tax rate was still 1% too high which equaled $13+ too much tax. I emailed them on 9/19/2023 with photos that support what tax rate I should be paying, but no response as of 9/21/2023. I was waiting for a reply before completing my purchase. However, the next day, 9/20/2023, the phone in my cart was no longer available and I had to remove it. I was ready to spend over $1k on that phone if I could ever get a resolution on the STX issue.

Haven't received my phone I made a complaint and was told I'll get a refund in 3 days if the package is not traceable, 3 days later Now I'm being told that I need to send the phone back to the seller to get the refund but how will I be able to do that if I NEVER RECEIVED the phone? Now I'm being ghosted and messages not being replied to.

Thieves!

Believe all the bad reviews you read about these guys. They are thieves and happily so. Sold me a poorly refurbished phone that broke in the first 30days. Then wanted 65% of the original cost for them to repair the phone they were already supposed to refurbish. These people have no desire to please customers and are looking to suck you for every penny, any way they can!
