I purchased the iPhone X from bad market for my daughter the process to purchase the phone was simple and easy in the phone came fairly quickly. She's had the phone for five months and we are having technical problems with the phone. I have had the hardest time dealing with customer service, trying to send the phone back and get assistance with the replacement phone.
I paid $300 for a GoPro that costs $400 new.
After less than 10h of utilization it started leaking water. I did not realize it at first so I blamed it on the battery, which I replaced.
When I confirmed the problem was actually a leak, I had owned the GoPro for a bit more than 1 year (I just use it to snorkle a couple hours during my vacations) and Back Market said the best they could do was to give me 5% on my next purchase.
I will never purchase from them again.
If you purchase from Back Market, assume what you buy will stop working shortly after the warranty expires and ask yourself if 1 year of usage justifies the ~25% drop in price compared to a new one. To me it clearly does not.
I purchased a refurbished iPad and in less than a year the button at the bottom of the screen popped up and cracked the whole screen. I sent it back as it was under warranty for repair and was told that the button is not part of the warranty. I'm at a loss as to why a piece of the hardware that functions within the tablet is not under warranty either way the warranty is useless and I won't be purchasing another item from them again. I'd really be interested to know if part of the refurbishment wasn't the fact that the button was faulty in the first place but they won't tell you that.
I didn't have any issues selecting or ordering a refurbished phone from Black Market. It arrived better than described.
I bought an iPhone 13 Pro in December, 2023 that indicated the camera and the battery weren't original. Shortly afterwards, the device would randomly and unexpectedly reboot itself. Finally, after a few weeks, it stopped working all together.
Their refurbishers aren't allowed to use original Apple parts, but they don't tell you this. I am trying to get my money back, but I have doubts that'll happen.
Just bought my daughter a new/used phone. It was extremely more adorable than a NEW iPhone 13 or whatever. This phone is still relevant and in near mint condition. Honestly other than being an older model phone you can't even tell it was refurbished. She (23yrsold) absolutely loves it. Thank you. We did a trade in on her old phone and the delivery was quick and sending the old previous phone was easy. I received the money from trade in approximately 3day after sending it off. This is my 3rd purchase using back market
I have had only excellent experiences with Black Market. Every product I have bought came in great condition, clean, ready to use and super fast secure shipping. The site is easy to use and navigate. Trusted seller.
They sold me a phone with unofficial software leaning it to be unusable. No reply from customer support its been over 3 months now still no resolution. Dont expect a to receive a good phone from this site. The warranty is a joke and don't work.
The refurbished Pixel 7 Pro I bought is great. But I did not get what I wanted for my Pixel 6 in great condition. Don't expect to get $135.00 for your used phone.
I purchased a phone for $867 and they took $1788.80 from my account! When I questioned them, they told me that the money had not been debited - which it had! And that the transaction was simply a pre-authorization which will be returned in 5-7 days! Who takes over double the price of the purchase as a pre-authorization? I am still waiting for my money to be returned. BUYER BEWARE!
I was tired of buying low gigabyte phones and my daughter suggested Back Market. I had never heard of this company. The shipping was fast and I am very please with my phone (Galaxy A14 5g 64gb unlocked). The phone worked right of the box and I will shop with Back Market again.
The site was easy to navigate and the entire process was very easy to use. I recommend this to anyone.
The phone is beautiful. The service was timely. The phone was for a child--I am looking forward to purchasing a new phone for myself and will definitely look at the phones
Available on Back Market!
Very bad experience with Back Market, not recommended at all. I bought an AirPod in June 2022 that malfunctioned after a week of use. The return and refund process went well. Then, after forgetting about this disappointment and assuming that the quality of the products had improved, I decided to buy an iPhone in 2023. However, the received iPhone was not in working condition. I decided to send it back to Back Market for a refund. Back Market provided me with a DHL return label, but the DHL relay point or the carrier lost the package. I contacted customer service to open a case and get a refund, but they are finding a thousand excuses not to do so and not to reimburse the defective and lost item by their partner.
Ordered an IPhone Pro Max rated as Good
I took this model for the great camera. Very disappointed to discover when I received it that there are scratches on the main camera lens!
I don't understand how the rating works at Backmarket.
I contacted the customer service who apologised and offered a 40 gbp compensation when the repair cost at Apple costs 199 gbp. A joke.
Disappointed and will not use their service again.
Faulty products. Appalling service.
Purchased as a present, not charged or opened until Christmas Day because of this.
The touch screen on the watch sent did not work at all following charging and the product had not even restored to factory settings as was locked with a pre-existing passcode (which couldn't even have been attempted due to touch screen not working).
Because of this it was returned within 14 days of being received (those 14 days including the Christmas period)
However the company are refusing to repair or replace despite having sold an unusable, and clearly not restored, product in the first instance.
The product is being returned and, whilst I could fix the touch screen at my own expense, this will not resolve the problem of the pre-existing passcode.
The 30day change of mind and 1 year warranty advertised have not been honoured.
Regard the company to be wholly disreputable.
I sent my iphone in for trade in and was offered $619. I was torn on how to mark the screen as it had one short deep-ish scratch on the top top out of the area you really use the phone for (that I never noticed except when phone was off). Otherwise the phone was like new as it had been in a case since day one. The cut $150 off their offer and said it had "multiple deep scratches" and the sides were severely dented and damaged. They clearly draw you in with a fantastic offer and then lie about the condition of the device to give you less than what it's worth. I told them to buzz off and send my device back.
I needed to replace an obsolete iphone. Back Market offered excellent refurbished phones. I was pleased with the website, the ability to look at different options and filter for my preferences. Once I chose my phone, it was easy to complete the purchase. The product I received was better than expected--really does look and feel new. Back Market followed-up in a friendly way at every step along the way.
Phone shipped on time and in excellent condition. No scratches and battery life at 85%. Son is very satisfied with his gift.
Very pleased with my first order and will definitely consider more. Smooth transaction with quick shipping. Saved $$ and probably won't ever buy another new phone.
Answer: Bought a refurbed iPhone 11 unlocked, as a Christmas gift. It arrived and I had it activated. I had no problem with the phone. I went to Simple Mobil, and got their 25.00 plan. The phone is in great condition, works great, and I am happy with Back Market.
