SCAM
June 12, 2023

I signed up for unlimited talk text and data at first. The lady signed me up wrong on purpose and then they cut my service randomly. I called and they told me I had to wait seven days for my unlimited talk to arrive. They said I need to pay for minutes in the meantime in order to use my phone. It sounds suspicious because it is suspicious.SCAM SCAM. This service is unreliable and not a lifeline. How can you call it a lifeline if your phone service randomly goes out. False advertising.

Assurance wireless does not let you change or correct your address on-line, instead you have to call a phone number and talk to a representative who barely speaks or understands the English language. I have been trying to change my address for over a year and they always say they made the change, but they never do. I would give zero stars if I could. I want to cancel with Assurance wireless and use another company.

Nothing good to say!
December 13, 2022

Received a phone for my mother who is in assisted living over 2 years ago. The battery blew up in it (Expanded and failed to power the phone). Called to get a replacement. Nothing but a run around. Handed off to someone else, told the phone was on the way, unable to contact anyone. Its been almost 2 months my mother has been with out a phone. Assurance Wireless is a Joke.

From the day that I bought the phone till 2 months later my phone service being shut off having to order a new phone that being shut off not working on the phone with assurance for 2 hours every other day and talking to people who I can just tell have no clue what they are talking about and don't care about me. I finally spoke to a supervisor and she told me to shut up because I said that they didn't do their jobs and just saywhatever they got to say to get off the phone. I am now without a job because of my phone service problems and I did everything I was supposed to do but this terrible company won't even turn my phone back on when they know that they screwed up. Go with Q Link much better.

This company and its employees do not know anything regarding the process you can call 5x in a row and get a different answer every time. It has taken me 2 weeks and counting to get a phone replaced. Each agent had different information including the Supervisors. If I could give them a negative rating it would still be to high

I have had lifeline when it began with other carriers but this is the worst ever. The phone you can't hear out of. It takes 2 minutes to connect to a network to make a call. I have had it sent back once already. It is best to just pay for a phone than to have something that works once in a while. Forget even trying to take a picture you won't see anything. The memory is so low that with no apps downloaded you have to wait for it to wake up to answer a call and by that time the caller has hung up. I can't believe they get away with such practices. They are getting money from the Government, and are just making profit and providing no service. I have done factory resets, soft resets, turned it on and off, took the battery out. DON'T GET THIS CARRIER. The only good thing is that the customer service is farmed out to the Philippines where the people are lovely! NO STARS!

First of all the phone they give you is the worst phone I have ever used in my life and the customer service well let's put it this way.I was told I would be compensated for my horrible experience with them with a 20$ gift card for Amazon and then when I call back the supervisor tells me that I can't have it! Wtf!?!?! I have changed my service twice now with these companies and they just keep getting worse! Lord forbid listen to your customers!

It's so sad to say, but, here you will find the most creative vendettas being acted out when you get too big for your' Obama phone britches'! All else aside Eki and Kimberly will take you to task when they discover 'their' mistakes. It is so worth it to not ever need to receive government services, especially if people from other countries are handling the customer services. The idea of having to serve a poor person, much less a poor American will get your phone shut off or cut back because by-golly your lifeline services is in their hands so don't go off acting like you have the rights to be anything but thankful and grateful because they are ready to teach you how to talk less and need less minutes.

Assurance wireless outsources their customer service. The reps have thick accents and you can barely understand what they are saying. One lady from the Philippians, and I recognized her voice more than once, hijacked my account and gave my service to somebody else. And now my service doesn't work. They lie to you, collect your information, and applies it to someone else. Then, when you call they say you've been approved and tells you to wait 5-7 or 7-10 business days for your new phone, but the phone never comes. Plus, assurance wireless doesn't have any way to complain through their website. Since customer service is outsourced there is no on site supervisor to speak with.

Worst company
February 24, 2020

Don't go through this company, because they want to charge you $5.00 for shipping of a new phone or to get the one you have fixed. Also they don't take money orders to pay for the shipping, especially if someone doesn't have a credit card. Some people don't want to have cards, because they charge for transaction fees on them. I can get money orders for free, and also cash them for free without a bank. 99% of people are in credit card debt because of the cards as it is. Also It don't make sense to have high speed data of 2 gigs, when you use that to pay bills on line. Then you run out of data with in the first half of hour. How can the phone be free, if your charged shipping and handling? I can get packages from China free of charge for shipping! So why can't they? Assurance wireless sucks! Signal, service, and for shipping and handling, not to mention customer service.

I'd give it less.
July 12, 2023

Just attempted to help my elderly friend to apply for a new phone as her phone has become inoperable and they told us that her warranty had expired and proceeded to try and charge us for a replacement.

Getting someone on the phone was nearly impossible because of how difficult it was to navigate through the automated system with how badly it malfunctions. I had to call them 5 times in a row from my own phone. I can only imagine how difficult it is for elderly who are self-reliant to get ahold of these people. Absolutely disgusting.

If I could give negative stars I would. I have tried to get a working phone for weeks now and it's going to be my 3rd phone with Assurance wireless that has never worked & they want to know my phone to call me at. Is that a joke? They won't send a new phone they are used phones with zero ram which means they don't work good when they are new much less used. I have a appointment coming up & it's a zoom appointment that I get a before the appointment to get the meeting ID number but they won't ship it overnight to make up for their mistake. The worst thing is when they find out there's a problem they won't respond to you at all. So it's clear I can only message them though Twitter without a phone. Save yourself time and misery get a service anywhere but Assurance wireless

My experience has been that every 2 months. I go 10 days without a phone because it melts down. Spend $20 in shipping for a replacement phone from assurance under warranty, So the free phone costs 20$ every 2 months and 10 days no phone while replacing their meltdown. It's the biggest scam. You will go without a phone and pay 20$. That's life with assurance wireless.

Don't even bother with signing up with this company they are low down and dirty they will send you the fact the phone they will lie to you and they don't give a damn about you. As far as the review I give them two middle fingers if I had more i would give 18. Stay away from this company they are out to do damage. Pay very much attention to the other reviews and if possible find ways to file a class action lawsuit against them for shutting off phone services that should have never been shut off as well as sending out defective phones to customers who suffer from illnesses and are low income.

This has to be the worst service ever. Second phone I have had with AW, the second one is better but not by much. The bigger problem is how they access voicemail minutes. Yes, your minutes are charged when you call vm. The bigger issue is if you add money to your account and you exceed your 350 minutes, all your calls will roll to voice mail. Unbelievably bad customer service. Will be leaving AW as soon as my son gets me connected to his family plan.
