Have been with this company for several years. Received an email stating I would receive a new Samsung-S10 for being a loyal customer over the years; however, over 2 years later and NEVER received this phone, just lies and excuses when I call customer service to inquire why I haven't received what was promised. Also, this company makes loyal customer pay for replacement phone although the customer didn't damage the phone. Replacement should be free when it's their product that is damaged. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & SUPPORT when it's the customers who makes them money and provides them with jobs!
Customer service is in Phillipeans. You cannot understand them and they do not comprehend anything unless it is written in their script. I have spent 5 DAYS trying to get my old phone number ported to my new phone. All they can say is I must have a third phone for them to call me back on in case there is error or disconnect. If I had a third phone, why would I need Assurance Wireless phone? NO PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS AT ALL!
I paid almost $200 for a reconditioned phone last month. I chose the overnight option at check out & there was an additional fee so I assumed I would get what I paid for but after finishing the transaction I noticed that they didn't include the overnight delivery that I requested. I called & tried to explain the problem but only got some Indian guy who couldn't understand me & vice versa. When I finally got him to wake his brain for a brief moment he informed me that I was basically screwed! No help at all. But best of all the supervisors refused to even speak with me & hung up! I was immediately charged for the phone & to this day I have yet to even receive a tracking number text or anything! The site clearly says that it would be shipped within 3 business days & as soon as it ships you will get a text with tracking number. And that even with regular delivery it would be no more than seven days! I'm very disgusted that a business like this is aloud to exist here in America! Let alone get away with treating their own customers this way! I smell a boycott coming.
I talked to 7 or 8 different CSRs, getting worse every time, can't even solve my problems. The free phone broken in no time, bought my own phone, it worked for a while then SIM stop working with error code, called CSR, they gave several different codes, none of them working, finally they said Assurance SIM doesn't work with different phones (but it was working fine with my own phone for awhile)
I don't even know where to begin with, because their customer service is worthless/incompetent. Their phones are worthless! I can't even call triple A when my car breaks down or 911 when I'm in danger. I can't even descent conversation with anyone with this phone (Schok). When I asked to speak their supervisors, they always told me they're always busy or in a meeting.
What's their point of keep sending me the same phone (Schok) over and over again that doesn't even capable of doing basic functions: talking and texting. They sent me 4 times in a row. One occasion, I called for a different phone, she told me if I give her a good customer service rating at the end of the call, she will send me the most updated phone that doesn't have any problem. She told me she's trying to get a promotion within the company and receiving good survey is very important to her. I gave her the benefit of doubt, so I gave her an outstanding customer service rating (perfect 10). 7 days later, I received a package, when I opened it, the was the SAME PHONE (Schok) that has been problems since I ordered the first time! I can't communicate or send text messages with that phone. The phone kept breaking up every 10 seconds (Service goes out every 10 sec.) during conversation. In regards to texting, when I send a text message to a friends, it takes 2 days for him receive it. After being a royal customer of Assurance Wireless for 13 years, I'm finally moving to a different carrier. Because of so much language barriers and dishonesty, I don't think I can't take it anymore. NOT WORTH IT.
I applied and never recieved a phone 2 months later i am locked out of the account because whoever got the phone changed my account information and i recieved a email from assurancewireless saying my phine is delivered and change of information has been done. The email was very u professiinal and the tracking number was invalid.
THEY SENT ME A MOXEE ANDROID AND IT WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO USE APPS. AFTER 3 WEEKS IT STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. THEY WERE NO HELP AT ALL. AVOID THIS COMPANY. SAVE YOUR SANITY. SURE, FREE IS GREAT! BUT WHAT GOOD IS IT IF THE PRODUCT AND SERVICE IS NO GOOD? I DON'T HAE A BUSINESS. I'M A SENIOR.
I just canceled my service with Assurance Wireless today. There are too many complaints about them to be able to list them all. I've researched other companies I could sign up for that are free lifeline government phone services, but they ALL have reviews similar to Assurance Wireless. It's time for me to buy a real cell phone and deal with the expenses.
My advice... well, if you go with Assurance Wireless make sure you have lots of friends/family who can help you use their phones when you don't have service. I truly wish pay phones still existed! Secondly, don't take your phone near ANY water: do not take in bathroom (steam will mess up the cheap phone) and do not take your phone with you anywhere in case of rain or snow, because that will mess up your phone. Thirdly, if you decide to go with Assurance Wireless please make sure you have A LOT of patience, great hearing, LOTS of time to talk to customer service, and please be a sane person because the representatives will drive you insane.

All the agents liers. Promised help but never solution the problems. They promesed send the phone in 7 days. Never happen. I called them 2 times at week. They always respond the aplication is pending and the agents want we start s new application. I made more the 4 applications with the agents by phone. This company need be investigate.
My son have the criteria for be approved and they prolonged the process. I talked with 2 supervisor no want help and give any solutions. They want keep your applications and you can't apply with other companies.

I could not answer phone. It would not send text messages. They sent me the same kinda phone 3 times and it never work. Oh then try to get a hold of a person to talk to may as well talk to the wall
After two weeks of incorrect, bad or just plain false statements by many, many customer care reps, ACP agents and supervisors, I am giving up...
If any actual reps from this company READ these reviews, GO LISTEN to the more than 23 phone conversations, all recorded that I went through and all the BS I was told all along the way.
No one takes notes or keeps a record of what previously was gone over so if the phone call drops or the survey boots you into outer space, you have to start all over again.
10 ACP agents, 6 supervisors, 20 agents, excuses, stalling, completely false statements, ending in absolutely no help!
And don't even get me started on the stupid survey attached to the "hold" button that disconnects the call each and every time you are placed on hold.
Not one ounce of truth or help throughout two weeks of constant communication only to end up stalled out again.
I would rather rip all my hair out then ever call this company again.

they charging the government 30 dollars every month and given you a phone that doesn't work esp. No internet connection.To get a new phone replacement is hell with them. What the use of given customers unlimited data plans when the phone don't work with internet. Everytime couple years you qualify for a new phone the phone been hijacks, or given for themselves. There favorite line when you call them is "DONT WORRY I TAKE CARE YOU" Watch out for that line. You dont get nothing out of it. What kind of business if they lie to customer. Oh don't wory you will get your phone soon! But never come. I'm very disappointment with assurance wireless! PLEASE DON'T GO WITH ASSURANCE WIRELESS! They should be $#*! down soon. Refused to replace a phone with overheating issue bc it cracked the screen due to the overheating issues. They don't care if their defective devices injure ppl
The phone I received from Assurance wireless without a doubt is the worst phone I have ever had in my life.
The phone does not charge properly. It can have a 100% on the Battery and still not turn on. Sometimes it doesn't charge at all with a good charger and cable. It's Russian Roulette of whether this phone will work or not.
Last week I called Assurance about the phone. I spent a long time on the phone with someone who's English was hard to understand. They wanted to charge me $59 for a new phone at first. However after speaking with the guy I found out my older phone I had with Verizon would work with their system. After going over a bunch of things; the guy told me I needed a new simm card to work with that phone and that they would ship it to me in 4-5 business days. It's been over a week and a half and still no simm card.
I called Assurance back to find out if there was a problem. I spoke to a girl this time who's English was way worse than the guy last time. After checking, There was no record of my conversation with the other person. Then she wanted me to get the simm card out of the Assurance phone that I have. This phone is sealed in a way that there is no access. She then tells me the phone I want to use is locked and that I would need to call my old carrier to have it unlocked. Then I can call back and go through the whole process again.
This is a joke of a company. I guess this is what you get when you need a free phone. Trash from top to bottom.
I called for help on multiple lines. The rep handle partially. Then had to transfer me to a supposed supervisor. When then spoke to me. Placed me on hold several times. To no available. This was a refund request of my money they've had on file for over a year. I've called about my refund several times including during the 90 day time frame they claim to have. Apparently no one has done their job. So now they won't process my refund. So I jist have money sitting on this account with no use for it. The government pays for the phone service. So why are they holding my money which was only paid because a rep who didn't who what they were doing took my payment. And come to find out I didn't need to pay anything. After being on hold several times. Because I wouldn't accept their excuse. All of a sudden I got a survey to complete while holding and the call disconnected. The supervisor never came back on the line. This is terrible. They don't want to own their mistake. And give me my $39 back. I wouldn't refer anyone to them. Find a way to get yourself another line through another company. I only gave a 2 star because my phone service is actually on.
Good luck getting a new one for two and a half months you're better off turning your bottom up and getting ducked. If you know how the systems work and request a supervisor you'll get hung up on
I lost my Assurance Wireless phone in a car crash and had to pay $39.99 for a replacement phone which I did. Then I didn't get the phone and they sent another one. I finally received it and once it got activated, I used it once then when I used it again, it said my line got "unenrolled" - called Lifeline and they said the carrier "disenrolled" and I gave to call the carrier to reapply. ARE U KIDDING ME? Then why the hell did I have to pay $39 bucks?
I've been a customer of Assurance Wireless since Approx. 2017. Had problems in the beginning because they couldn't find my address in their system, so they refused to send a phone. Contacted the Attorney General and Assurance became happy to comply after that. Service has been on and off, but their policy seems to have changed now. I have a phone which began developing issues. It's less than a year old. Being on disability, they've always sent FREE replacements in the past when I've had issues. It seems, not anymore. Today I called because I was told several days ago, I would be receiving a free replacement for my problem phone. It's not happening. No one called to tell me. I called them because I was expecting a new phone by today at the latest. They told me that since it was over 90 days old, they would not replace it and I would have to PURCHASE a phone from them. I am deeply disappointed in Assurance Wireless. I guess their policy has also changed on the survey at the end of the call too, because they disconnect their end so the survey is inaccessible. Perhaps their change in policy is why. I will be staying with them for now because I must, but as soon as I am able to find another option, I will. Caveat emptor on this one.
