They are not delivering the unlimited plan they keep promising. I have made numerous calls to them and they keep promising the problem will be fixed in a few hours. It's been a month now! I still don't have the unlimited everything plan

I have been with Assurance Wireless for close to a decade and at first their service wasn't too bad but in the past three years they have declined rapidly. There is no customer service. Let's just be clear. No one who works there, knows how to do their job. They continue to jerk you around, there's never any solution. They keep telling you that they will fix this or fix that. But nothing ever changes. They recently changed the policy on their warranty without telling anyone. Now you are expected to pay close to $70 for a new upgraded phone, if you don't call on the very day that your warranty is up. It's completely unprofessional.

Customer service is the world's worst. The most ridiculous format and I'll trained workers of any company I've ever delt with. I had to complain to FCC several times. You cannot believe anything the call centers tell you. The do not have use of any technology. They won't call you back. They won't use your email either. They will put you on hold and it will go to a survey cutting you off. Assurance wireless uses other countries as call center. The workers are uneducated and do not understand the English language or word definitions. There is no supervisors. They do what they want to. You'll see the first time you need customer service. Shame on youAssuranWireless for tramatizing your customers. It's a crime and don't see it changing

Really awful and frustrating to deal with 3rd world customer service reps. Their English goes from poor to very good, and you don't know who is going to talk to you when you call in. They give false names and LIE about what they will do to help you with a problem. Then you call back: The name the rep gave you isn't in the computer notes. Neither is the correct information you thought they were logging in. Endless pointless and fruitless calls to the Philippines. You have to be very persistent to get a problem solved.
It's free; I would never pay for this insane company's runaround.
Truly a remarkably weird bunch. I thought it was ME until I read these reviews. Thankfully I have a first rate phone with another legit provider.

ASSURANCE WIRELESS
May 26, 2022

THIS COMPANY IS NOTHING BUT A JOKE. I HAD BEEN WITH THEM FOR 6 YEARS, AND THE LAST PHONE THEY SENT ME, AFTER 2 YEARS, QUIT WORKING. THEY WANTED ME TO SEND IT BACK, FOR A REPLACEMENT PHONE, NOW THEY SAID THEY WOULD HAVE TO CHARGE ME $39.99-$65.00 FOR A REPLACEMENT, BECAUSE MY PHONE I SENT BACK WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. WHAT A JOKE. NO ONE TOLD ME ANYTHING ABOUT A WARRANTY WHAT SO EVER. YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF WITH A MORE RELIABLE COMPANY TO WORK WITH.

They sent me a piece of paper stating that I will receive a Samsung galaxy S10 comes loaded with great features. What a bunch of bull. They sent me a Motorola. When I talk to the lady on the phone she says oh I'm sorry you were one of the selections that got it second hand you weren't one of the first callers. Bull liars liars liars! Complete frauds

I wish I could give Assurance Wireless less than 1 star. They try to hustle you out of your money every way they can. It started years ago, when at the same time every month, they would say I ran out of minutes, when I knew it was not true. Making me pay for extra minutes every month.
ASSurance also loves to send you those cheap refurbished smartphones that goes haywire right after the warranty expires.
There is nothing free about Assurance Wireless. You will pay, one way or another.
PS I wouldn't be surprised if the good reviews are written by Assurance themselves.

First rep told me my phone number would be transferred in a week. Then NOTHING.
Second rep told me my phone number would be transferred in a week and my request was being escalated to a supervisor.
Third rep told me my phone number would be transferred, my request was being escalated to a supervisor and the request was being put to their "back office". Then they informed me that I can only transfer my number by calling from a third party phone and being on the phone while they transfer the number.

Weeks of "We care and we will transfer your number" to "You have to be on the phone to transfer your number"

Programming sucks! Assurance isn't a cell company I would ever recommend. Horrible! I have to plug my phone in to be able to answer a call, most the time. I'll be contacting the FTC again soon.

On 5/9/22, I observed 2 Assurance Wireless reps setting up a table by a local mall.
I was asked if I would like to apply for service. After entering my info in their tablet, I was informed that I was eligible.
Then she proceeds to tells me, that Assurance Wireless requires a $75 activation fee. Bull$#*!!
I went online and checked, no activation fee. Called customer service, who confirmed that Assurance Wireless does NOT charge activation fees.

I've haven't had any problems with my service so far and like that they use T-Moie towers now which they didn't before so idk if that has anything to do with some reviews I've read here. So They sent my free phone which took awhile because of covid everything was behind to get the phones out but they were good about sending me email updates about my phone too. And I was really happy when I got my new phone because I couldn't believe they sent me a Samsung phone and such a nice phone.
I'm thankful for it and from reading the reviews on this site i was really blessed evidently. So i wanted to write my review coz others need to know it's not always bad. Maybe it's a chance you take so my advice is, why not take that chance you might get a nice phone and you never know until you try right. Plus you can always cancel or change plans if your not happy with them or the phone. Plus they use T Mobile now which is better coverage. The only thing so far i don't like is my number they gave me because it's not my area code or a local number and it doesn't make sense to me and i can't even remember my own nimber lol its too hard for me to remember. But I'm gonna call them about charging it. I did change it online on their site but they gave me another crazy number Good luck to those who plan on trying it out and see what phone you might get.
I couldn't take a picture of my phone sense I'm using it to write this review lol so I took pics of the box it came in.

Worse thing ever!
May 19, 2022

If you need a free phone, go ANYWHERE else but this place! The phone is a smart phone by way of 2009, and so is the service. We got one of these phones because our phones got stolen, and our cell phone providers insurance was refusing to help (Metro, who is also T-Mobile so you know how that goes). We have had this phone 24 hours, and it has broken up every single phone call I've made. The speaker does not work, and the service is terrible. I eventually had to go next door and pay them to use their phone. This is supposed to be a program for the poor to help them have communication, but honestly NOBODY can talk on this thing! T-Mobile is a wonderful company... if your rich enough to afford it. If your broke or worse yet, destitute... your not gonna find help here. The phone itself is micro, the storage is non existent, and pictures? Yeah right, good luck. I know this is America...
But just being about the money and not actually trying to help is disposable. How do you expect people to better themselves when you don't even provide a good enough service for them to do that? I was a LOYAL customer for 5 years for T-Mobile, now switching to a competitor. T-Mobile, I really hope you become bankrupt.

When I received my first phone in the mail I was pleasantly surprised it was nicer than any other lifeline phone I had ever received over the years. The service seemed decent everything was good until the phone didn't work anymore about two months later that's when the nightmare began. Covered under warranty for one year I called them they sent me another phone it came in a couple days opened it up and it was a cracker jack phone. I think when I looked it up it was a $35 phone compared to the $200 phone I received in the first place it was about half the size and it worked like crap you couldn't even hold it up to your ear because it kept pushing buttons just because your ear would touch it. Called them up told them it was unacceptable I wanted the phone that was at least comparable to or the same as the previous one considering a broken two months and it was covered under warranty that was weeks ago. It never came I have called multiple times I never get anywhere because you can't understand anybody nor can they understand you because they're not speaking good English at all. And last week I finally said you know what let me talk to someone in charge I want to save myself time and you the time because obviously this is something that is out of your hands. I explained it was no offense to them I just felt that it needed to be upgraded to somebody that could handle a situation like this considering it wasn't getting done. I said on hold for probably 20 minutes they came back on the phone and said a manager would be calling back I said I would be waiting, I'm still waiting! Getting ready to call again but don't even have the energy it is exhausting literally just complete hot mess. This is a government funded program and we're speaking to people that don't understand crap about it and barely can speak our language what is wrong with this picture?

I've been a customer for about a month... I am already on my second phone. The first phone was actually decent for a free phone. It overheated, and the screen burnt out however. It lasted about two weeks. I called about a replacement phone. It took another 12 days to receive a replacement phone. The replacement phone is appreciated, however it's very cheap quality, I question how long it will last. I have a very good quality Samsung Galaxy phone, unlocked, however it's not compatible on the network. Only cheap phones work on the network. The customer service people have a hard time understanding the English language, and get excited over every answer you give them. The fake excitement is annoying. They never explained to me I need to send the old phone back to them. I only figured that out by reading the instruction manual for this new phone. If I didn't read that, I wouldn't have known, and my service would be disconnected. This new phone gets hot quick when using most applications, I seriously question how long this phone will even last.

Minutes ran out.
Called customer service. Customer service said we would need to apply for a new phone. Once approved we will get a new phone within week ( by Friday).
For the past three months, every Friday, we have the same conversation and still no phone.
Every time we speak to someone we get same script and run around.
Every time we ask to speak to supervisor we get told they will call us within 30min. No supervisor ever calls.
Again still no phone… horrible horrible horrible
