You will find a number of fake profiles! Photos are usually stolen from other social media websites like Facebook or Instagram. The amount of image filters regular women use is disappointing. They will rarely look anything like their photos just to give you a warning.
I created a profile and in less than a minute I already had messages from bots. This is before I uploaded a photo or any other information.
EX: You find 25 messages in your inbox from 'beautiful' (bots) women. Buy a membership to connect and then get nothing in the form of communication.
And then uploading a photo of yourself can be difficult as there is a double standard. Woman are allowed to upload photos that violate the rules. But your photos will be rejected. Out of 5 the system only accepted 1 on my profile.
I don't know who is verifying the images, but I see a ton of famous people and super models that I know DO NOT use this website.
That 18 year old that shows interest, sends you various photos, chats with you everyday to demonstrate that she is genuine. You will discover it's a fraud when she asks for a donation. Just use your common sense and be safe and smart when checking out anyone.
Additional note: They do respond within 72 hours when reporting fake photos and profiles.
I met first man to number third have same story, after talking on email couple time finally ask me to send him money, what a bustard people ask woman send him money
I have been trying to understand how this site works. Note I am talking about AsianDate.com because there are other sites that sound the same or are run by the same company.
To me it seems that the company hires Chinese people who can translate messages into English. They probably get paid by how many credits their clients are buying. What happens then is these workers send fake messages to clients such as me, to get me to buy credits to read the letters. Many women on the site send me letters saying how they love my letters and want me to marry them. The thing is I never sent letters to those women! If I do send a message and ask a question, then I never get an answer. For instance to prove that I am speaking to a real woman I ask her to send me a selfie picture so I can see who it is. They never send me a photo and just keep sending the same useless information, such as they love me and want to meet me, almost like an automated message? You are just talking to the middle person who is trying to make more money and maybe the company is encouraging this practise? Total waste of time.
Dear Erik L.
Please note that we are a different company from the one you have described above. We do not have a letter service, we do not have an interpreter service and we do not charge credits.
I have to say this site is full of scammers but if you make it clear on your profile that you will not send money you should find what you're looking for! Look at it this way they ask you for money never mind what the reason is for DO NOT SEND MONEY AND BLOCK THEM! And you will be alright.
Best thing to do really is to just go over there in the phills and meet one.
I paid and immediately was told my account was suspended because according to them a flag was raised. They want me to send them copies of my government ID. Yeah, like that's going to happen. I'm going to send a company without a published address or phone number my government ID.
What a scam. UPDATE BELOW.
They "flagged" me yet they STILL charged my card.
And they try to make out that they're better than asiadate. They're not. Same bs.
But hey, someone named "team" will be sure to reach out to you and give you that personal touch.
This is one seedy company. Avoid at ALL costs.
UPDATE: Oh look, they replied with absolutely nothing new. "Cupid M" is here to clarify it all with the same nonsense. There's another review above where they did the same thing.
You spend days/weeks looking around, decided to join and their crack team of investigators zeroes in on you to get your id. The place has ungodly amounts of fake profiles and scammers and their sharp as a whip investigating team flags real people.
Nothing about my profile was faked, my credit card worked fine, yet they want me to send them my id. "Cupid M" and "team" want me to send them a copy of my official government ID. Seriously. That's what they want. Who in their right mind would send them that? Who would fall for such a scam?
STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

Be aware of many scammers. Asking to go on Skype to get you off the site. Many will also try luring you to get undressed on Skype, and then black mail you
I signed up for this site a week ago. I got a lot of interests from pretty woman. I had a free one hour trial and replied to this woman that sent me an interest. Luckily she was online. This woman viewed my profile and replied to my message saying that she is a transgender woman. Come on cupid! This is getting ridiculous... You need to separate these type of people from communicating us, straight men. I'm getting sick and tired of these transgender people on these sites thinking that they have the right to ruin the fun for guys that are looking for real woman. I don't mean to offend them... Maybe other guys like this kind of thing but I don't like it. I find it very unacceptable for these transgender men to dress up as ladies and write us men that are really looking for a real woman.
After that experience... I removed my photos off my profile and switched off my profile for good. I'm no longer coming back to this site ever again. I don't know what happened to this site... It seems like transgender boys are replacing the woman on this site to fill in the space for the site.
The manager needs to find a way to get a system to make these transgender communicate with their own type of sexuality. It sickens me that these type of guys have to bother us straight men and play the role as a woman. They need to be kicked off the site.
I will just try to find a real Filipina woman in the country instead... No thanks, AsianDating.

You would think Cupid would do a better job monitoring their sites. Some of the scammers stand out to the point that only a blind person wouldn't see it. The most obvious are Filipino women working in China on a work visa. They all are under 40 yet are looking from men from 20 to 90 (not just a few, but 99% of them are looking for the same age group).
Here's how it works:
You write or they contact you. They spend a few messages telling you how great you are and you are the one. The contract with the people they work for is about to expire and you need to act quickly otherwise they have to sign another year contract. So send money so they can get a tourists visa (impossible to get) to come visit you and they can tell the people they work for they are not going to sign another contract to work for them.
The provide details where to send the money. Good chance they are working with someone else (male) and would split the money you send if you bite. OR you have been talking to a male the whole time who just happens to have some great female photos.
If you bite - your money is gone and so is the girl.
I'm sure there is a variance to the above scenario but in general that is how it works. There is not one girl who is working in China on a work visa that is legit. Why Cupid doesn't do anything about it is a scam in itself. I even wrote them and it was ignored.

This site has popups to "renew membership." I accidentally clicked on it, yet they wouldn't refund me. Also, the site has lots of fake profiles, many of which appear to be site-generated.
It is very weak and slanderous date site for an out going person, as soon as I started explaining to a couple of females about my profession, I was kicked off by the administrators of the site, and they really get piss when you offer the email or phone numbers to other ladies to get to know them on your own, it not like I am one of those scammers that show a pretty picture and never want to come on the cam while your on Skype, that is totally defeating the purpose of dating on the site, they try to micromanage a little bit too much, maybe I my return to the site in a priest outlook and act domestic or like an older guy in his 90ies, I give Date in Asia site two thumbs down, and de-boner.
Dear Kenny,
Please note that our site is AsianDating and not Date in Asia. These are two entities run by two different companies. Kindly direct your complaint to the right site.
Hi, before 1 year of being a member of Asian dating I've meet my Aussie man.so funny how we meet bcoz 3 weeks of chatting he is really coming to Phil's to find the girl who scammed him.he did kept sending money but the girl is 6 months pregnant when he found out.so he fly to phils to find that girl and wanted to send in jail. After 2 days of staying in the home town of that girl he fly back here in manila and I fetched him at the airport with my 4 years old daughter.
It might be a love at first sight bcoz we just like friends when we talked online, he was 52 and I'm 28 that time.and we fell so much inlove after our taxi ride. I like his looks in personal bcoz he looks young than to his photos in his profile and he said I'm perfect for him. Until now we still communicating even got misunderstanding sometimes. I didn't thought I could meet a man in my dreams through this site. After 5 years being a single mom. I haven't seen the type of personality of a man I was looking but I found here in Asian dating... thank you so much...
Hi Rosemarie,
We would love to hear your story. Kindly emails us on team@cupidmedia.com.
I am happy I found this site. I thought there was something wrong with me.
I joined AD about 3 years ago with a one year membership. I coversed with several people but got busy and did not have time to meet anybody. I took a year off and tried again. This time I did actually meet a nice girl from the Philippines. She was very expensive flying back and forth to see me and her money for school, famly issues and sick cow did take a lot of money. She then ended up going to the USA.
Since then I have been in contact with 3 lovely ladys. The first two are in Manila and we made plans to meet and see if we liked each other. I got to Manila and received a text from the first saying my aunt is having a birthday and I cannot make it. This is after a 14 hour flight and did not sit well with me. The second one I was going to meet had to schedule the next day as she suddenly was asked to work a Saturday evening. I did not hear from her for a week.
I have just started making plans with a third person. She is from CDO, so she needs to fly to Manila. All was going well, she sent her name and I found flights. Of course, all of a sudden, she has decided to book the tickets because she got a better price. She was right, her price was only half what I could find. All I need to do is send her the 4,500 peso and she will book and fly to see me.:-)
Anyway, I guess the next one will be better?
I think maybe most of these ladys from the Philippines are just playing.
Good luck to all just do not kick out the cash...
If you see a filipino girl who says she is in china she's a scammer full of lies and their intentions is to get money, avoid communication with them,

Answer: It's a minefield! Total scam! Every time you mention switching to a free site, women go from hot to cold and lose interest because in fact they are nothing else than paid staff members. You hear all kinds of silly excuses. You don't get to hear this BS on http://J4Love.net because ladies are real and wanting a relationship. You may want to check it out.
Answer: Dear Ruth If you wish to switch off your profile, choose "Profile Settings" from the "Settings" menu on your member home page, then click the "click here" link under the "Switch Off Profile" heading. If you have any feedback regarding why you are canceling your membership, you will be asked to provide this during the switch off process. Once you have switched off your membership in this way, you can automatically reactivate your profile by logging in again to the site (our system will interpret your login attempt as a request to reactivate your membership). Please contact us if you require any further assistance.

Answer: I can assure you that in any online dating sites there will always be people out there who want to make money off of you not including the fees that you have to pay to use the services on the site. You just need to be mindful that there are people who scam for a living. Just like how you may get scam letters or calls to your home or email, you'll get them in your inbox for the dating site. If you can learn to interact and filter these people who are doing these criminal activities, then you'll make the site itself much safer for everyone by reporting them to the site's support. Good luck with your searching.
AsianDating has a rating of 1.4 stars from 144 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with AsianDating most frequently mention fake profiles, credit card and email address. AsianDating ranks 75th among Asian Dating sites.
