The moderators are part of what is wrong with the website but not the only problem. If one of them doesn't like your posts, say, you are very conservative or very liberal, then that mod will follow your comments and look for anything to try and make a issue out of. That mod will then force you to prove a negative via accusations that you can't prove one way or the other. Then that mod will give a warning after harassing you.

This goes for paying members like myself. I realized that while I thought I was supporting the 2nd amendment and gun enthusiasts, that this was a facade and their moderators do not care and do not follow that themselves. AR15.com is only in it for the money and they laugh at those who pay for their membership.

I also noticed that when I paid for a membership, that I began to receive spam emails even though they claim it was not from them. It definitely was as I never had that before. It is a big joke of a website and they are con artists.

Another thing is that it is a risky website to even browse, again, your personal info if you sign up for a account will be given away and they will lie saying they don't do that, and there is spyware also in the form of trackers that most people will not see but I noticed it. This is also a form of stealing your information.

Once I realized this grift I left for good. My computer after running a spyware scanner removed several hundred and it had to come from there.

If you need info on 2A and Ar15s, there are Reddit sub forums for that and are MUCH better AND safer.

I spent hours reading this website when I was a new AR-15 owner. I admit it was helpful, but there is a lot of chaff to wade through before you get to the wheat. Many topics end up being "pissing contests" between self proclaimed experts. It is also saturated with armchair commandoes who are convinced that the apocalypse is going to be tomorrow and can not wait to use their " safe queens".
That being said: If you are willing to put up with that, there are knowledgeable members who know these rifles well and share their expertise willingly.

Certainly a large gun forum, but quality is rather low. Admins seemed only concerned with generating large post counts to impress potential advertisers and not at all concerned with the quality of the forums.

Probably more than a few dead people with active user accounts.

Excellent site to learn how to build, customize, and accessorize an AR-15 style rifle or pistol. I've learned a lot about the AR platform on this site.

This administrators of this website blocked me from using their website, simply because I was trying to make contact with a member who supposedly sold me something, but then ended up going MIA. When I posted on his thread that I was having no luck communicating with him, and warned other members about he was not communicating with me, the site administrator blocked me and will not let me back onto the site.
