Stay away from Tony Anver Karen and any of his related businesses, including Anver Log Homes, Rustic Home Construction and Southern Log Home Builders, Inc. Mr. Karen is an unlicensed, incompetent general contractor with a history of failed businesses, state and federal tax liens, lawsuits and default judgments, professional complaints, shoddy work and unsafe and unsanitary work sites. We hired him to build a turnkey log home, garage and workshop. After nine months we were forced to fire him for incompetence, mismanagement and breach of contract. In nine months he couldn't even manage to get a slab poured. We asked for an accounting of all expenditures he submitted grossly inflated subcontractor costs and fabricated expenses. He has admitted to owing us thousands of dollars but has failed to return a singe dime.
Mr. Karen has also been arrested in Lake County Florida for felony Title Fraud.
JP &TP of VA: As victims of Tony Karen-Anver Log Homes and as concerned citizens, we wanted to inform the public about his business that will leave you holding the bag * We invested our life savings into a dream we have had by contracting with Anver Log Homes to build our Log Home in VA. Unbeknownst to us, was the nightmare we had just signed up for. * After Tony received our money things went downhill rapidly, we could not get him to return calls, answer emails or text messages in a timely manner. * Tony neglected to make payment to three of our subcontractors on the project. We were informed by the subcontractors that if we didnt make the payments, it would leave them with no option but to place liens on our property. We had to take out a line of credit for $48,345.88 to pay the contractors for services rendered that Tony neglected to pay. * Tony Karen the owner of Anver Log Homes was arrested on 1/19/2017 for Title Fraud in FL. *The State of Virginia Common Wealth Attorney and The Page County Sheriffs Criminal Investigation Division are actively perusing an investigation on Felony Construction Fraud Charges against Tony Karen. He has mismanaged our construction funds to the tune of >$100K. Other companies that Tony is / has been associated with are: Southern log Homes and Rustic Homes Construction. * Our experience with Tony Karen Anver Log Homes has found him to be unprofessional, unethical and he has been negligent through the mismanagement of our construction funds.
