So I was court ordered to an anger evaluation. I went to this woman, Kathy Garber. She was easy to work with, but a little shady. She didnt even offer a phone number to be called on her website. The court didnt take the evaluation. The way it was explained to me, online classes are ok because they are offering generic information that applies to pretty much anyone, and it is based on proven research. As long as the website gives us the information in a platform that allows the court to verify we received the information, the classes are fine. But only licensed providers can do the evaluations. This woman may or may not be licensed. She works with her wife who has a "NLP" certification, and so does she. The NLP website says that anyoen can pay to get the NLP certification so idk if they are even real licensed therapists or not. Even if they are, I was told by the court that the evaluations cannot be done online because they are different than the classes. They are not generic information. They are supposed to be specifically tailored to the individual who is ordered to get one. So there is no way they can accurately assess you without meeting you in person. Be careful.
