Well it seems that attitude is what the biggest issue here is followed by a pricey menu and meager portions.
On Monday evening I called at 8pm to ask what time the kitchen closed. I was glad that the person told me 9:45 p. M and said we would be right over. He said, "We don't have any tables tonight anyway." and hung up. So we went the next night at 8 pm. Only 2 tables occupied and a sour puss asked how many and showed us to a table. We asked if we could sit at a different one and gave me a look like I shot her mother. Then the waiter and bus boys with no smiles or upbeat attitude took out orders and served the food. The pasta with sausage and broccoli rapi at $17.95 was appetizer portion. The sausage was boiled and very bland. No one asked if we wanted more coffee etc and the "we don't take Amex" without an "I'm sorry" put us off. No one bid us goodnight or a thank you when we left. We go to Risotto House and Sophia's in Hasbrouck Heights and Gelone's in Lyndhurst. All have great food great value for the price welcoming up beat waiters and I guess spoiled us. We are not just used to pizzeria TYPE food at NYC restaurant prices with a kick in the rear end. I suggest the owners try other local places to learn how to say thank you for 1 link of boiled sausage 1 cup of pasta and a garnish of brocolli rapi. Then again... with hundreds of better places there is no need to go back to Angeloni's for a kick in the pants and my wallet lighter and going home hungry.
