Very easy experience. I would recommend this company without hesitation. In fact, I was so satisfied that I'm using Alaska Car Transport to ship my other vehicle .
I purchased my transport about a month before the pickup date. There was zero communication between myself the company or the driver until less than 24 hours before pickup. If I called there was a 3-4 hour hold time and the customer service would often hang up on me. Also my vehicle showed up almost 3 weeks late and was in TERRIBLE condition. I ended up having to sell my car and never got a call from Alaska Car Transport telling me my vehicle arrived.
They were supposed to pick up the car at designated residence in San Diego county. On the day of pick up I was asked to drop it off at a different location and take an Uber back. It was a last minute hassle having to argue with the driver. Alaska air transport was one of the higher quotes I received Hoping the service would be better. It was always difficult to communicate with them as well. The car arrived in Anchorage on time and retrieving it was simple.
Unfortunately my 2002 Lincoln LSE was damaged. The front bumper cover has been badly cracked. Whoever did it tried to cover it up by applying some type of black paste over most of the damage. The cover will need to be replaced. Also, the transport driver told and a witness that he picked up the vehicle in Seattle. That didn't make sense since the paper work stated Tacoma. Sorry but wasn't expecting to get a damage vehicle.
Lots of continued contact, was given a delivery date of 5/1 - after several calls on 5/3 we were told the truck was broken down with no ETA. Finally received the delivery of my vehicle on 5/8.
The set up and process of shipping was super easy!
It took 37 days to receive my vehicle, AK to mid-TN. I wasn't too disappointed with the delivery being later (2 weeks)than they initially informed me of, it was over the holiday season and the weather wasn't the best. The main reason I rated them 3 stars is because their customer service is not great. I contacted their chat personnel at least 7 times, I only every received 1 response. I couldn't see it though because they closed the chat before I could read it & my signal was sketchy so it deleted, I took it as a grain of salt. However, the continued contact was frustrating, trying to track my car, my messages were either never read or read but no response by the same 2 female representatives. I ended up emailing the company and they responded the next day and told me where it was located & estimate delivery.
If I didn't need to contact customer service, and have the experience I did through chat, I would have given a 5 star but people is what makes a company a company, their customer service chat representatives need to work on being helpful.

For the actual truck drop off I was not pleased at all. Driver did not verify ID- parked and staged in a unsafe location- center lane of a busy five lane road and lastly did not allow my husband to check the condition of the car before signing. Also- car was NOT dropped off at the agreed ed upon location causing us to walk 20 minutes in a downpour. The trucking company notified us that their policy is if they can't drop at the agreed upon location driver is to drive the car itself to that location.
After calling the trucking company we were informed that he broke many of their policies.
not super fast. Wasn't delivered when promised. Took way longer and office had trouble getting information to us when we asked. Our son had to take 2 days off waiting on delivery that didn't come when promised:(
The driver suggested that my elderly mother well to where the truck was parked at 10pm and when she said she couldn't he was rude and told her that he could drive the Jeep to her but she would have to drive him back to his truck. Very rude and very unprofessional.
It was not clear when the car was being picked up, that there could only be a certain amount of fuel in the car, and I got no message that the car was in town. Service started out great, but then there was NO communication after I booked the service.
Great so far! Easy to process, great customer service.
