Air China has got to be one of the worst airlines for customer service. Their inability or unwillingness to deal with legitimate customer issues Is beyond belief. They allow you to purchase a ticket online with connection times at PEK that are virtually impossible to make. Then, when youre at the airport in Beijing, they do not give you the assistance to re-book your flight or find the hotel shuttle to Take you to the dumpy hotel for their passengers who have missed connections. Trying to find someone who is willing to help you and who speaks English is impossible! Either on the phone or in person at Beijing. My recommendation is to not book any connection through Beijing with less than 2 1/2 hours in between flights, or better yet, dont book Air China at all since their customer service reps either dont answer the phone or ignore you in person. And be wary if you dont speak Chinese because very few can converse in English.
