After searching the Net for deals, I found that 42nd Street had the best price (by over $100) on a lens I was after. I ordered the Canon EF 24-105mm f4L IS II USM lens. It arrived promptly, packed well, and included a free UV filter. I also had a very nice follow up call from them asking if I was a satisfied customer. I am.
Scam company that uses bait and switch tactics. I ordered a Canon 5D Mark III in new condition on their site. As with many other stories told, I received a call from a sales person a few days after, informing me that I had ordered an international version and would want to upgrade it to the US version for several hundred dollars more.
I told him I was in the middle of something and did not feel comfortable making an uninformed decision over the phone. He started getting agitated and questioning my reasoning and ultimately pressured me into making the switch on the spot.
Sure enough, I was sent a used camera with no original packaging, user manuals, etc. A quick check of the settings shows they still sent me an international version. So ultimately, I paid several hundred more for a used version of what I originally ordered in New condition. Overall, I paid more at 42nd street for a used camera, than I would have if I bought brand new with a certified dealer. DONT FALL FOR IT.

I ordered a Canon 60 Zoom camera for my sister who was in Alaska. 42nd Street Photo called me and explained that the camera could not be shipped free to Alaska because there was no Fedex Service where my sister was living and alternate shipping would be about $40. I decided to have the camera shipped to myself. My sister loves the camera and I think I got a good price. I did not find any lower price on the Internet.
I was very impressed with the knowledge of the sales staff. And the prices cant be beat. Will definitely shop here again.
I purchased a high end lens from 42nd St. Photo and it was my first purchase from them. The lens was on sale and cheaper than anywhere else! The rep helped me pick out some great lens filters; he was very friendly, informative, and cut me a little deal on the purchase since it was a package deal. I wanted this lens quickly and 42nd shipped it out when promised and it was delivered when promised. I highly recommend shopping and purchasing from 42nd St. Photo - thy're great to do business with!
The price for the item I ordered was "too good to be true", so I called and checked. Turns out the price was for the gray market version, and although it would have been fine, I elected to change my order (after I had placed it) to the USA version. No problem at all doing this, and they were nice enough to take care of the additional credit card charge without any additional input from me. Very good service and prompt response to any questions that I had.

I purchased a Canon SX60 for a Safari in September of 2017. I had done quite a bit of research and comparing and settled on the SX60. Next step; where to buy. 42nd Street Photo was by far the best price of any professional, reputable retailer. They answered my questions when I called them. I subsequently purchased on line. I have purchased other items from 42nd Street Photo and have always been pleased. My new Canon SX60 arrived just a couple days later, packaged very well and I have been enjoying it ever since.

42nd street has been around for a long time. Their prices are always lower than the competition. No New Jersey sales tax is charged. On high priced items this is a great savings. The delivery time is not as fast as B and H but the savings is worth the wait. Selection is not as extensive as others. The items for sale are always priced lower than other stores. Overall I would not hesitate to buy again.
I'm a thousand miles away but they treated me like I was loyal walk-in customer. Great service and of course the product works exactly as promised.
