I am thinking about working as a Uber driver. But I can only make so much a month. I need to know how much a driver makes on each fare.

It really depends on what type of vehicle you have. A 4 door vehicle that will seat 5 with you included would be considered Uber X which is the lowest paying Uber platform. The exception to this would be if that vehicle was a late model sedan that fit Uber's criteria for the Select or Uber Black platforms. Your best bet to earn decent money would be to buy a used minivan or SUV (with 3rd row seats) that gets good fuel mileage. You will be considered Uber X and Uber XL, so depending on which platform is selected by your passengers you are able to service either. The XL platform's benefit over X is the fact that in most markets the XL rate is nearly double to more than double the X rate. I drive an XL vehicle and I net about 300 dollars a week driving part time 12 to 14 hours a week on Friday and Saturday nights. If you give good service maybe 1 out of 10 passengers will tip! Happy Ubering!
