It is not a scam per se. There is a chance you could meet someone using the site. However, paying Tinder may be considered a scam as you get no increase in your chances of meeting someone and you can use their site without paying. Also using their site puts you at a higher risk of being taken advantage of by dating scammers which are allowed to use Tinder.
Tinder advertises 55 billion profiles while the census says there are close to 8 billion people on the planet. This feels like a con and possibly a scam. You be the judge. I just observe the facts
