Answer:
They are not a scam—they are legit. Your band just won't get any gigs from them. There are hundreds of bands listed—only a small amount of bands get one or two jobs a year, and there are 3 or 4 bands who get all the rest. Most bands highly suspect them for providing some fraudulent leads to keep them signed up and paying them. Don't bother.
