I keep seeing "Private Seller" posting auctions with collectibles, sports items, etc. How often do you have customers complain about the units?
How do I go back and view a locker that I won?
Some one help lost my job and my storage unit is there any way I could get some of my things the owner dont want
From what I am reading sounds like a lot of scamming going on. Do I need to cancel my member ship or are these people legit.
How can you look at past results from these public auctions? I would like to see the actual sold prices of certain locations,.
In Reference to OSO Storage Unit # 1489 sold on May 10th 2017: Merrick Blvd in Queens. To Storage/Thrift Buyer/Seller, Cubesmart, Vendor, and Storage Treasures, This is about my storage unit in Queens that held 30 years of my life. I would like to restore my ownership of my property. I will make every effort to make the process as comfortable and easy as possible by buying the property back. My unit, #1489, was said to be sold on the 10th of May with ten other units at Merrick Blvd in Jamaica Queens. I had made many calls to Cubesmart about a fault in the phone payment system. I had an agreement with the district manager of the North East because of the faulty payment system that I could pay a payment by the end of the month. This led to a mistake with the Cube Smart Store and the corporate people. I am working at weekend fairs and events and had to wait until after this weekend to get paid. If I had the cash before the 10th I would have paid it believe me. Now they have sold my unit to a vendor. I would like to get in contact with the vendor to buy back some/all//most of my things that are priceless to me that are items I was given from my grandma who passed and 3 friends who have passed. I feel like I have lost everything, and am desperate. I have friends upstate that can help me out getting the property picked up. This was a mistake by 48 hours and really was a misunderstanding on the phone. I had thought I had a verbal contract with the district manager stating I could pay by the end of the month. I was driving though three states at the time to catch a job. My property was mismanaged gravely. I urge you to have the vendor please contact me. I was homeless in my early 20's and built my life back without drug abuse and other illicit behavior. These things where acquired by hard work, sometimes working three jobs to support myself. I worked in Music and was transferred to NYC. I made the move alone and built a life in the city. I have a mental and physical disability that has held me back in my life in many ways, but I have never asked the state or government for help taking care of myself. I have never had food stamps or anything like that. I have taken pride in being able to bounce back from thee hard times and not using and crutches or handouts. These things I have had in storage after myself and many others lost their jobs in NYC in the late 2000's. I have bounced around a little looking for another place to be as productive as I was for that ten years before I took everything I truly care about out of storage. Now that all my things might slip away, I have gotten in touch with family members about payment for my things. I have over $500 and maybe even another $500 (depending on the flight prices) to offer for my things. I pray to God that the vendor that got my unit will look down on me with compassion. This year has been one of the most trying of my life and I just hope that less then 48 hours will not make this year even harder. My grandmother meant the world to me and I just don't want to lose everything that she hand made for me. Also a friend gave me some of her dead husbands things that I am beside myself for this to happen too. I am am sorry for being so upset but this is a big blow to my heart. Again I will make this easy for the vendor . I will not be difficult and be as quick as I can so you can get back to your work. Please send this note on to whomever would need to see it. All my hopes are with the goodness of people in this world now. Sarah Quinn Wheeland gratefulquinn@gmail.com 917-301-7497
How long does it take Storage Battles to answer me regarding a fraudulent unit I bought?
I got scammed/frauded on 8/1 and have been writing you for resolution. How long will it take you to get back to me on this, in general? People are posting that you never get back to them and I don't want this to go that way. I bought a fraudulent unit on 8/1 from Storage Solutions in Fontana. When I asked the manager for a refund she said it was a "Charity" unit. It was staged, about 2 tons of broken used lumber behind a couple shelves, and chemicals I have to take to HAZMAT. I need an answer on this soon, if one is coming please let me know. Thank you.
I won an auction that was posted as a lien sale. It was the Self Storage Facility owner''s junk unit where she stored broken lumber. The broken lumber was hidden behind a couple shelves, making the unit appear to have been a rented unit. While there cleaning it out because I had no choice, a couple different people came by to talk and told me that the storage unit had been sold several times but everyone in the past forfeited their $100 when they saw it was a unit full of broken lumber. These people told me it never had been rented out, it was where the owner took old tires and trash, which I now have to drag to the dump, along with empty paint cans I have to take to HAZMAT. Can they auction a unit and say it was a lien, when it never was?
