Greetings. I've just tried the free download version of Spotmau BootSuite 2012; It did clone my C: drive to an external hard disk, but that hard disk was NOT bootable. Solution? Best wishes, Ken Ball, Amsterdam

You must first make the new drive bootable. Once your computer see the external drive in my Computer, go to your command prompt by typing it in the search bar from your start button. And type: diskpart Now in the new command line that opens determine which letter or number pertain to the externaldrive. You do this by typing: list disk. Hit Enter. Now at the command prompt type: select disk ( x) where X is the letter or number to the external drive then Click Enter. Now type: clean Click Enter. Note: This will delete all files from the external Drive. Now to create the primary partition Type: create part pri Click Enter. Now to select the Partition you created type: select part 1 Click Enter to format the partition type: format fs=ntfs quick Click Enter. Now type: active Click Enter then TYPE: EXIT Click Enter Your Done. :) now proceed to clone. Last Note: Important If your platform supports UEFI you might have to format the last step as fs=fat32 quick Click Enter. But this is usually for Flashdrive. Good Luck.
