Answer:
They are fakes and poor fakes at that. Chipped and scored, Screen protector bubbled up and too big for the frame. Blisters on the inner face of the rear cover. Plastic feeling outer rather than soft silicone. Total rip off. These guys should be reported. Mine came from Hong Kong via Malta for some reason
