Why does Searchbug charge a fee to have your name removed from their search list? No other company does that. This is an outrage!

Our data comes from many sources which are of public record stemming from the FCRA - http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/031224fcra.pdf

Searchbug does not maintain a list, you have to go to all of the individual sites that contain your information and have your name removed. So for example if someone got your phone number, then it is listed publicly somewhere. If they got your address same thing. Just a hint, it is usually your city tax database or voter records.

Searchbug has been completely updated and we no longer charge for removals. Since we don't show any information any longer to unregistered accounts and have a strict know your customer policy, we have solved the issue with showing information in a search list.
