on 6/18/15This is a DISCOUNT program. Not a prepaid voucher. It's true you don't have a lot of options for $300 of vouchers but WTF that is an insane amount of credit and not what this program is all about. I'm not sure what you were thinking and a bit dubious that you really have that much. Credit. If so - why?
While $300 sounds like $300, not so if they involve Restaurant.com vouchers, rewards, certificates or whatever else you wish to call them; Restaurant. Com is not consumer friendly and many restaurants featured are not participants and refuse to accept your documents. I would say donate them to a charity and let the charity benefit from tax considerations. My feeling is that anything involving Restaurant.com is value--less. Good luck
Once you choose a restaurant, you get a certificate that states that it never expires, but what happens if the restaurant goes out of biz? Also, you have to spend the same amount to spend the certificate. For example, I bought a $25 certificate to a restaurant, but I have to spend $50 to use it - what a scam. In the end, you'll probably have to spend $600 to use up your $300 (in $5,10, or 20 increments). I would try to use up what you can and them cancel the account. That's what I'm doing.
