Hi, I'm wondering what Ravelry intends to do about the "Rubberneckers"...the bullies who ruin the Ravelry experience for so many people (see above).

Ravelry is the ultimate bully so probably nothing.

They do not plan on doing anything to them. The owner of this site Casey Forbes condones and encourages their behavior.

They will continue to breed hate. Because they are full of hate, they allow bullying, because they are the bully.

The owners allow hate by allowing hate filled patterns. They will do nothing. They have a agenda.

They ban conservatives in the name of hate speech, but fully support hate speech they agree with. At least Casey wears his politics on his feelings. As long as you agree with him and support $#*! hat ideology, you'll be fine, just don't disagree or post something contrary to TPTB because that's hate speech to him.

Equating Trump supporters with White Supremacy without any evidence in blanket statements are ignorant. Over 63,000,000 people voted for Trump for a reason. Ravelry, the Left Supremacists, have banned anyone that doesn't "play along" with their insanity, and is reminding us why TRUMP is needed, and necessary in our country.

They have labeled people they do not know as WS. They try to use mathematical principles of logic that do not apply outside of math for their argument. They are spreading hate. They do not allow conservative viewports. They suppress truth.

They have done it. By banning promotion of white supremacy and other bigotry espoused by Donald Trump, they have reinforced Ravelry's position as a place of safety and tolerance for all (unless you agree with hateful ideologies).

Ravelry and its chosen members ruined the site by harassing white Christians and conservatives. This is acceptable to them. Their definition of hate and white supremacy is to be Christian or conservative. If you say nothing hateful to anyone, and voted for Trump, you are unfairly labeled and banned. They lie about inclusivity. They lie about the people they ousted. They lie about themselves. Most of all, they are lying TO themselves.

Considering the site owner's wife is a member of that group I'm sure nothing will get done.

They've banned the Trump racists from spouting their vile nonsense. Good on you ravelry.

They will do nothing - they enjoy the bullies and have done for many years.

You can be a Christian and a member of Ravelry. They are not mutually exclusive. The people leaving negative comments are doing so with a political intent. Ravelry should be a place where people share ideas, tips, and advice about projects they are working on. Ravelry is not a Political Playground.

Hopefully by banning white supremacy, the trash will take itself out.

They are not bullies. If you don't like that forum, stay out of it. Under the tools button, the is an ignore function you can use.

I don't think they plan to change, sadly. They've taken advantage of their network of fiber enthusiasts to promote their political agenda through hate and intimidation.

Ravelry refuses to support bigotry in any form and states so in its TOS. It is a privately owned platform and they are well within their rights. They have absolutely not banned Christians or conservatives, only speech that supports bigots and bigotry.

Not a darn thing and they shouldn't. They watch drama. Don't want their attention, don't make drama. Or, you know, just dont read their posts.

LOL Reading the comments about not going into the Rubbernecking forum if you don't like their posts. Hypocrits abound on Ravelry.

If you aren't comfortable with the "Rubberneckers" then don't look at their forum area. They aren't bullies because they never talk to people and you would have to hunt them down to even know what they were doing. So just stay away and you won't see anything you don't want to see. :D

Absolutely nothing. The Rubberneckers have Casey's full support. When he has tiptoed around sanctioning them in the past, they've responded in their typical vicious style. He's afraid of them.

As of this week (6/2020) when you open the home-page of Ravelry, you will get the notification they are supporting all protests, and even suggesting you can give to 'bail' for those who are rioting and looting. If you do not support that, then something is wrong with you.
