All of the Ports that I check with an open port check tool are shown to be closed. I want to know if downloading the software will help me open a port

That's what we do. Start with our port checker first, which is free. If the port is closed then purchase the software and use PfConfig to open it. If you have any problems then Allen in support will walk you through the steps and make sure that your port gets opened.
