Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from Olek Lejbzon & Co. staff and previous consumers.
Mr. Anoush Kosh Kish requested that we replace the cracked putty on his Kittinger breakfront with puffed-out three dimensional "blown glass". We excluded the risk of broken glass in our repairs, and when we were removing the putty, found that about 1/3 of the "blown glass" had cracks at the edges, and all were finish nailed in place, which should never be done with glass, glaziers' points are the proper technique. Cracked glass should have been rejected by Kittinger instead of using it and puttying over the cracks. Cracks in glass migrates across the glass with very little stress. Removing the putty, and running into finish nails, two of the dozens of puffed out glass lites broke. When Mr. Kosh Kish failed to find replacements for the glass, he threatened to besmirch our name all over the web if we didn't repair it at our cost. We did, after buying a kiln, and learning to "slump" glass in a kiln, perfectly replicating the two broken panes. Mr. Kosh Kish entered his tirade on line anyway. Aside from the time required, Mr. Kosh Kish was very happy with the final restored doors, and never corrected his negative rants.
