Hello Alex, Thanks for checking in. We do not have a prostaglandin in our formula and the ingredients are completely different than the prescription brand you mentioned. Uniquely we have five DNA proteins that outperform the aforementioned ingredient. The product should not cause discomfort. It is a topical application. However, some individuals have very sensitive eyes. Other's experience allergic reactions to any number of cosmetic ingredients. Oftentimes, it's possible to stop using the product for a week or so until the eyes calm down and then reintroduce the serum once per day using a very very light application. Our recommendation to those with sensitive eyes is to use the serum morning only (and not at night before bed), as the eyes seem to respond better. One quick note on application it is best to use the serum on the base of the upper eyelashes starting from the inner to the outer corner of the eye. Do not apply it to the bottom lashes. To avoid discomfort, it should not touch the eye.

You should continue using the product as an ongoing part of your daily routine. If you discontinue use, your skin, lashes, brows, and hair will gradually revert back to their original appearance. The good news is that you can decrease usage after you've achieved a desired look. For LASH, BROW, and HAIR products: Once you reach a point of satisfaction, you can apply the serum once per day. Another option is to decrease application to three or four times per week. When you want to increase the results again, go back to using twice per day.
