It can be both. Legit in that I have cashed out a few hundred in the course of a couple years. Scam in the sweepstakes and ad pitfalls they send you to. Some of the games with the best payout have innumerable ads.

You have to submit a support ticket and some of them are worthless. I had to submit to googleplay a negitive review, for the developer to reach out to me to get a new tech support person and he was able to help me get my issue resolved and haven't had any other problems going on 6 months.

I have tried over 300 games, and other than the courtesy $1.00 most let you withdrawal, you never ever get anything else. Mistplay is not like that. I have consistantly been able to exchange my winnings for a giftcard that except for 1 time have gotten with in 48 hours. I play 2 other apps, that while they also pay, they take forever to accumulate enough points/coins to cash out. But the majority of those fake ads advertising you can make lots of money by playing them are scams.
