I am about to purchase a dress from Missydress.co.uk and it all looks like a scam. Is that correct. So many bad reviews.

Avoid then like the plague! The positive reviews are written by them. They take your money and leave you high and dry with shoddy very cheap looking dresses that are about to fall apart. I foolishly ordered 4 bridesmaid dresses, one was 4" too short, all were appallingly sewn together with flaws in the material. They use designer photo copied from other sites and make shucking imitations. My advice would be to have then made locally. They wouldn't refund me I reported then to the Hong Kong authorities the fraud line in the uk and Hong Kong banks, our trading standards and the international trading standards, but all in vain. Please don't put yourself under any incessant stress xx

I wouldn't risk it. The dress you get will be different from the one you ordered and they will not issue any refunds. We were left with a wedding dress that cost over £300. It's nothing like the one we ordered and because it is in a foreign country they are exempt from British laws on trading! The advertising standards agency in this country are involved as on their websites they give the impression it is a UK based company which it is definately not. You will also be charged additional customs charges which you will not be told of until it's in this country!

My advice is stay away it really isn't worth the hassle go and see a dress maker instead duck. Nicola

Note: They are not even based in Hong Kong but actually in mainland China, i. E. well out of reach! You'd need your head examined if you deal with them!

DO NOT. No matter how good it looks it will not look that that when you receive it. If it looks too good to be true it definitely is because you will hey a shoddy piece of material nothing like what you ordered.
Mine was awful, it didn't sit right. The material was completely wrong the and sewing was so shocking! I wasted nearly £200 for that dress. Please do not use this site

You will receive something, just nothing like the Photo. My dress was not workable. By the time you add the shipping cost and pay for the item it startes to work out very expensive for something you have to throw away. I have never received my money back. I have received nothing not so much as a sorry. However I did use light in the box and the dresses were exactly what I ordered was super pleased with them

I think its a scam yes after extensive research we found many of the photos are taken from other sites and they make terrible copies of what are very beautiful dresses. They ship from china which is not made clear when buying from their uk page. They ignore requests for a refund my friend was lucky she paid on a credit card so she could claim a refund via that and let the bank chase them. Awful awful quality steer well clear in our opinion..

It's not a scam they are just not based in the UK but Hong Kong! The clothes are VERY badly made and the customer service is a joke. They are a CHINESE company selling poorly made clothes for which you pay a very high shipping cost and you will never get a refund when you find the clothes are not as advertised. Check out all the positive comments... they appear to be very much the same and certainly not written by a European person! A company employee springs to mind! I had a VERY bad and costly experience and would advise to avoid this company at all costs as both they and the clothes are NOT what they seem!
