In short, Mandy is a recruitment and networking platform for the arts and entertainment industries - where you can apply for work and connect with our directory of professionals. Members create a profile, showcasing their training and previous work, and then use this to apply to jobs listed with us. We also have areas like the Noticeboard and the Forum, which allow you to connect with other professionals and access exclusive offers. How much does it cost? i cant find prices on the website and id rather know going in before i spend time filling out my info.

Hi Michael, Thank you for your question. Standard membership is entirely free on our site. The pricing of our premium membership does depend on the type of profile you have set up with us. If you want further information please do get in contact at emails@mandy.com

I have a free membership on mandy but notice they really want paid members. my concern is all the negative feedback. should i pay for the service?

Hi, thank you for your message! We have two main types of membership. A Standard Membership is free and allows you to create an online profile where employers can find and contact you. You also gain access to the Mandy Forum where you can network with fellow professionals and our Opportunities Board, where we post low-paid/non-paid student and charity projects. This is a great place for those that are starting in the industry and looking to gain some experience and footage. With a Premium profile, you can apply for all paid jobs on our jobs board, upload up to 20 photos and 30 media files, boost your database position to appear higher in search results, get featured across the site with your profile image displayed to employers, see who's viewed your profile and more. What is the subscription price ?

Answer:

Mandy is grossly overpriced at £170 a year. If you earn a reasonably salary, then by all means pay it. But for actors with low income, avoid like the plague - stick with StarNow (£29 for six months), or Backstage (free membership for six months, then £99 thereafter).
