I'm wanting to surprise my mom for christmas and get all her vhs-c cassettes transferred into a dvd. is this sight trustworthy?

Question:

What if a tape i send in has only 10 minutes of video on it. do i get a 10 minute digitized video or an hour long video?

Hello, Mike! Thank you for reaching out. In an effort not to miss any content we streamlined our process to convert everything from beginning to end. That said, the files we deliver to you once your order is complete are editable and copyable! This will enable you to be able to edit and customize your videos so as to remove any blank or footage you don't want included.

Question:

For vhs tapes, some were recorded at lp - 4 hours per tape. does it matter if some vhs tapes contain 4 hours of video and some contain 2 hours?

Answer:

Hi, Linda! That is a great question. For our process, the size of the order is based off of the total number of items you are sending to us rather than how long the footage is. Even if an item contains hours and hours of footage, that will not effect the cost!

Question:

Will sound from each video be transferred also?

Answer:

I wouldn't know. They lost all of my tapes. Don't trust them.

Will you transfer the sound to media as well?

Answer:

They do make an attempt to transfer the sound. This may not happen with certain old movie media (not video). But certainly all video sound is copied.

Can i make additional copies myself from the dvd you send me? i have children i want to give copies to.

Question:

If i send in a tape, will it matter how long and how do you put titles on

Answer:

They will handle any standard tape full length. I do not believe they will put titles on the digitized copy, but the file is named based on the order number and sticker you use to tag the tape, so you know exactly what tape it is a digitization of. One could do a simple edit using free software to add a front end to the "tape" digital copy.

If i had mini-camcorder tapes put on a thumb drive, would i be able to edit the files on my own computer afterwards? thank you.

Answer:

I have yet to find a way to edit LegacyBox videos on my PC or IPad. It's very frustrating.
