Question:

How do you deal with slides - i assume we have to have them in the correct order, etc.?

Answer:

Hi Judy, Great question! We ask that slides be grouped into sets of 25 (one item) either in an envelope or ziplock bag. We will provide small barcode stickers to apply to each bag of 25. Slides will be processed in numerical order, according to those barcodes. The order within each set of 25 is not guaranteed as there are alternate factors such as shipping where they could move around. The digital files are free from any copyrights so you can very easily re-order them however you'd like once you receive them back! Question:

But tapes with gaps and distorted. will you clean this up? can i get two copies of each tape

Answer:

Hello Lowell, We are a 1:1 transfer company meaning what is on your original will also be on your digital output. We do not offer any editing or enhancements. The digital files you receive back are free from any copyrights so you are more than welcome to edit them as you see fit. You can also request multiple copies when placing your order as well. Is the digital download mine to share as i want. what happens after a year?

Answer:

Hi Donna! You are absolutely more than welcome to share your digital download with anyone you'd like to have access to the files we placed in there - they will be able to download those files as well. After one year, the files will likely be removed from storage, and the link will expire, so you'll want to make sure you've saved your files in a permanent storage place on your computer or external storage device, or move/copy the files into your own cloud storage system. Do you transfer reel to reel audio?

Hi James, Thanks so much for reaching out to us (and so sorry for the delay in getting back to you). We are able to transfer reel-to-reel audio on reels ranging from 3" to 10.5" in diameter. I'm not sure how to determine which is the best format to convert to. if i pick the thumb drive, am i able to upload to my computer & create dvd's?

Answer:

Each digital output option has different benefits. Your video and film DVDs are standard, and work in a DVD player; your audio CDs play in any CD player, and your photo CDs can be viewed on a computer. However, if you are looking for a more flexible alternative, we've got you covered! Just select our thumb drive or digital download option these both work on a computer. The digital file formats you receive on your thumb drive or digital download will depend on the type of media you send in. Your video or film will be digitized to. Mp4 files; your audio will be digitized to. Wav files, and your photos will be digitized to. Jpg files. These files are ready to save to your computer, edit, and share with friends or family!

I am interested in placing several trays of slides onto dvd. could i know the approximate cost of this conversion?

Answer:

For the best quality and consistency, we cannot process Slides in Trays or Carousels. We require that you remove your Slides from the Trays or Carousels and send them in loose-leaf, grouped in sets of 25, and placed in clear plastic bags or envelopes. Given the many different scanners and computers used to scan all of your different Slides, this will ensure the highest quality scan for your Slides. Once you receive your digitized Slides back, you'll be able to organize them with ease on your computer. What is a typical cost for converting 8mm film to dvd?

To put your mind at ease, all items that are tapes will have the sound converted! It is only film that was very rare to have the sound recorded at all and is a niche process to convert sound on film reels, which we do not offer at this time. That said, we do not have a refund clause but rather we do have a satisfaction guarantee. We always want to deliver to best quality product to you and stand behind that.
