Question:

Does this program delete from google search with name and city?

Answer:

Hi, great question. We can't delete Google search results themselves without first removing the source information that the search result is pulling the information from, in many cases, the data broker websites. Google is *not* the source of the search results its showing you; it's merely displaying your information from the most relevant sources, based on your Google search query letting your information be found more easily. Google does not have the file containing your personal information, nor can it delete the file. To remove something from Google's search results, you have to remove it from the original source first. Once you take down a piece of content, Google and other search engines will naturally filter it out of search results. If you'd like to try and speed up the process you can try using Google's URL Removal Tool. Note that you'll need a Google account. Just hit the "New removal request" button, paste the link to the site that needs updating, and under "Reason," select "The page has changed and Google's cached version is out of date" from the drop-down menu. Then follow the directions on the page and "enter a word that has been entirely removed from the live page but is still present in the cached version." Finally, submit your request. Google will approve or deny it within about 48 hours. We also provide a free online guide for removing or pushing down in search results (link: https://www.abine.com/blog/2017/push-negative-search-results-down/), as well as a free DIY guide for every data broker website online (link: https://joindeleteme.com/help/diy-free-opt-out-guide/) If you have any additional questions, feel free to email us directly at support[at]joindeleteme[dot]com so that we can assist you. Question:

Can the information on a prior conviction & criminal background be deleted from public databases and internet?

Answer:

Hi there, Thanks for contacting us. Unfortunately, that type of content is not something that the DeleteMe service can remove from the web. DeleteMe removes basic personal contact information from people search sites only. However, we do have a guide for either removing the item or pushing it down in search results that you can read here: How to delete things from the Internet: A guide to doing the impossible (link: http://www.abine.com/blog/2012/how-to-delete-things-from-the-internet-a-guide-to-doing-the-impossible/) Generally, you cannot remove this kind of content unless it violates a website's Terms of Use and/or is unlawful in some way: for example, it infringes on your copyright, it exposes your "confidential" information (social security number, credit card number, etc.), or it is spam. In our legal system, almost all lawsuits and hearings are part of the public record. Unless you have a unique situation where your record was expunged or the case record was sealed, the fact that you were involved in a lawsuit is public knowledge. Each specific site that may contain your information (rapsheets, mugshots, etc) will have a unique method for removal. In most cases you will need to provide legal documentation that the case was sealed or expunged to that website before they will remove your information. Please email us at support[at]joindeleteme[dot]com if you have any further questions. Thanks! Best, The DeleteMe Team

Question:

Some of the reviews say it took a few months and one a whole year to get their info off the major sites. why does it take so long?

Answer:

Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the data brokers when it comes to these removals. Some data brokers respond immediately when we submit an opt-out request to remove your information, and some can take weeks even to respond. When we submit a request for removal of your information to a data broker, we would like to think that this is 100% perfect, 100% of the time. In many cases this is in fact true, but not always and when we find your information has not been removed, our only recourse is to keep submitting these removals, continuously. Data brokers are continually collecting data and publishing it for their own monetary gain. This is the purpose for scrubbing these brokers on a regular basis; to insure the information we have submitted for removal has in fact been removed, and to find and remove any new listings that may have been generated since the previous round of removals.
