Donna, We work very hard to accurately represent our products. Stone colors can vary base on type of stone, for example, a Genuine Blue Sapphire which represents the month of September is a little darker than a Simulated Blue Sapphire. Simulated stones tend to have vivid colors to them, as impurities are not present in a lab and do not modify the clarity or color of the stone. I will suggest for you to select a Genuine stone for the month of September if you wished for a darker color. Greetings Lucy C, Jewlr offers full visualization of your customized item. Our customers can customize their chosen jewelry and select the stones by month and color. For the month of August, the birthstone is Peridot which is a lovely light green and for June's birthstone, Alexandrite or Smokey Quartz is the stone used which is a brown "smoky" color. We offer genuine and simulated stones and each selection provides a slightly different shade.
