Thanks bobby k... i don't speak spanish. Ronald artavia knew the person at scotia bank. So she may have been a party to the fraud. It seems i have no claim because i deposited the money into the 'escrow' account. I put my trust in ronald artavia and he has since moved the money into another account according to the bank. I have asked numerous people including the consulate. Embassy. Authorities in san jose. And jaco beach where the theft took place. Seems no one can help me!. One lawyer wants $26,000 us. and i am certain the money is gone. I was told the country 'will protect their own'. Although it looks pretty bleak for me... thank you for the suggestion..

BEWARE OF JACO BEACH REALTY in COSTA RICA. It is run by a person (no license is required thre to sell real estate) who is a native citizen. His name is Ronald Artavia Castenada. (He also goes by several other names. He mostly preys on Americans and Canadians looking to retire there. BEWARE OF THIS THIEF!
I was introduced to him by another person in San Jose by the name of Arturo Guzman. (Website Pacific Properties). Instead of my money going into a bank escrow account, to buy property, it went into his personal account. I have not been able to recover my $2l5,000 from Scotia Bank after a year.
