Hi. I live on a boat and I'm looking to use this as my primary mailing address. I am a little concerned about picking up necessary mail and packages

Yes, you will be able to pick up packages and mail at the mail center address you choose.

When you sign up, you should use the address on your driver's license or some other form of official ID.

After signing up, in order to receive and pick up mail and packages, you will need to complete a one page USPs Form 1583. The address on the form must match your official picture ID. You will need a second form of ID as well.

You will be able to download the form sign and complete it, then upload it with scans of your ID's. It will need to be notarized as well. For convenience, you can use our online notary, who will also upload the forms and ID's for you. Cost is $25.

You can also just go to the mail center you sign up with if near you, and they can process the form 1583 as well. Remember to bring your ID's.

If you want to have mail forwarded to you at the port you are docked at or at some different port, make sure the address you provide when you request forwarding does receive packages and mail for people like you docking there.
