“Edits / Corrections Don't "Stick" - Wasting My Time”

Violet R.
1/20/22

My organization has had a call with them to discuss and demonstrate, but the situation has only gotten worse - all edits and changes that we make to our practice don't "stick" overnight and we have wasted our time. No response to our emails to customer support are extremely frustrating. Does this mean that they will go out of business soon?

I tried to update my information.healthgrades wouldn't let me fix my own information.delete my account or anything.they have my email address hostage and I have every right to remove it.I don't recognize some information on the account either.cant contact the online review website at all.from my understanding is they already have lawsuits.so for both patient and doctors or whoever it should be shut down.this is about medical information and have the right by law to remove your account.

I tried so many times in the last couple of days to write an honest review based on the unfortunate experience I had with this first time visit primary doctor but I couldn't because Healthgrades stop my review every time, was like frozen even thou I never used any offensive words, just facts. Is like we're in North Korea or one of those kinds of countries to stop freedom of speech. Who's this Healthgrades, when I called, they ask for $ 1 fee, I guess that's all about, money, I won't mind paying but I don't want them to have my credit card numbers. Don't trust them at all.

HealthGrades does not protect providers from bad reviews that include false information. No recourse.

I had a year and a half struggle trying to get help with a surgeon, being refused help as an established patient having a prior successful surgery with this Doctor. I went on the Healthgrades site and gave an honest appropriate review of this surgeon, which also didn't go against community standards. I initially made a review while upset on their site that did borderline on going against community standards. It was flagged and removed. I put up a second review being extremely cautious of my wording. I even emailed Healthgrades patient email asking them to please allow this review to stand, that patients should be able to leave honest reviews about a provider. I was happy the review was posted very shortly after my email was sent. Only three days later, my post was again taken down in Healthgrades. I know in my heart it was flagged by my Doctor because I was still in communication with him at the time and I mentioned reviewing him stupidly while still upset. I wasn't sure how the Healthgrades site operated. I was upset after a horrible ordeal with my established surgeon. He abandoned me as a patient causing me much further harm. While I was still hurting and upset I emailed Healthgrades about them removing my review many times, too many actually but I was upset knowing my Doctor flagged this review and felt I had the right to speak appropriately and truthfully about my experience. I then received an email from Healthgrades scolding me and threatening I could be banned from their site for abusing the email system. To this day every single review I attempted to post has not been published. I know for a fact the Doctors all have accounts at Healthgrades they pay for and can ask for negative reviews to be taken down. This is a violation of our civil rights not allowing negative reviews to stay standing just because a provider is more worried about their online reputation than their patients health. Healthgrades does not have unbiased reviews at all and if you look at most physicians reviews they all have top ratings. The site is corrupt catering to Doctors who have paid accounts to fatten up the sites wallet. Healthgrades could care less about honest unbiased reviews of Physicians or protecting the public from bad Apple providers. Healthgrades should be shut down.

Tip for consumers:
Don’t even bother using it. It’s nothing more than a sham. You must question the validity of any review sites for physicians that only have five star reviews on physicians. They are paying for good positive reviews and that is so wrong.

Products used:
I stopped using the Healthgrades online review site for physicians based on the information provided in my review of this site. Share care is the sister company for Healthgrades and they are doing the exact same thing to patients and taking down all negative reviews. This does damage patients by not allowing negative reviews to stand and allowing Doctors to remove them with a paid account. Patients go to providers based on false positive reviews expecting a better result and that is downright wrong. There are review sites like WebMD and many others that allow us to leave our honest feedback and will not allow anyone to have them removed. Google is another great resource for finding honest feedback on physicians, healthcare facilities and healthcare workers.

Information listed on HealthGrades is not accurate and usually posted without the providers consent. Use public health records to set up "ghost" profiles and allows anyone who sets up an account to create fake review regardless. Sites like HealthGrades have a reckless disregard for ensuring honest and accurate information is being to the public.

Tip for consumers:
Do not use the site if you are looking to obtain credible information on a medical provider.

Not honest with ratings and never display all reviews. They say that reviews are accepted, but never update the Star rating after one star negative reviews are accepted!

One Homecare Solutions is the worst company that provides supplies to their patients. It is very difficult to place an order, extremely difficult to reach a supervisor or a manager. Supplies that were needed for a procedure arrive after the procedure was performed, the appliances they provide are of the low end quality.
Their representatives at the call center are not well trained, they just read the script without actually paying attention to the patients' problems, their command of English language is very poor.
No, I DO NOT like ONE HOMECARE SOLUTIONS in Florida!

It used to be that you could write a review on health grades, good or bad, about a doctor you saw. Health grades now rejects all negative reviews, including the star review. It only posts positive reviews. I used to use Healthgrades frequently. I now do not consider it a reliable resource and will no longer use it.

Healthgrades
Does not show bad reviews of certain Doctors. For example, I consulted a very bad Dr. and wrote a review. Eventho' I confirmed my email address as required, the review does not appear. Only the 4 "good" reviews can be accessed. The 3 "bad" reviews cannot be read. This is a disservice to people looking for good physicians. Had I known this Dr. was as bad as he was, I never would've have gone to him.
SHAME on Healthgrades.

Tip for consumers:
Reviews of physicians is UNreliable.

Dr Joseph Ricotta performed a difficult procedure on my 99% clogged carotid artery. I am an 85 year old male and extremely grateful that Dr Ricotta was highly recommended to me by my cardiologist. Many surgeons would have been reluctant to attempt this risky surgery because of the high percentage of plaque. He is pleasant and explained the TCAR procedure thoroughly. He is a pioneer on this method. I will be back on the tennis courts in about a month. Max Tuchman

Healthgrades.com removes real people's reviews to protect bad doctors! Reviews will magically disappear or re-appear and ratings will change on the fly mostly to favor doctors at the cost of patients, always at the cost of patients. That should tell you a lot about the reliability of Heathgrades.com's ratings and reviews.

Dr R has provided excellent health care since I started seeing her in Sept 2019. Dr R is a professional, intelligent and caring physician, not to mention her warm smile.

At my request, Dr R also kept my family informed of my progress.

Regarding my condition, I will continue to see Dr R as long as it takes and I would refer her to family, friends and other patients for quality healthcare.

This facility is so bad with communication and blames the patient for all kinds of things that are obviously there office their doctors are also show no compassion whatsoever for their patients and reduce you to nothing. They are accusatory to their patients make false claims about appointment she never had a they tried calling you aren't answering the phone when there was never a phone appointment made ridiculously horrible to some patients which makes it very obvious that they discriminate when they feel like it and the desk do their damage are ridiculously negligent to patient and discriminatory to whoever they please I have found that there are lies there than trustworthy people as far as the doctors go I haven't seen it yet no bedside manner or compassion towards a patient at all and getting medications that are obviously bad for the patient when put together they don't care I don't think they should be certified by anything and if I had my way

I have contacted health grades.com a total of #5 times regarding removing a review I submitted anonymously. I was hurt and upset when I submitted the review. I have never in the past commented publicly about being hurt or upset. I am not a person who is unkind. I was angry at this individual and took it out publicly. I have apologized again and again to this person.
Healthgrades.com has blatantly refused to remove the review.

HealthGrades does not accurately reflect how good/bad a provider is. Even after an inaccurate review is disputed, the review stays up for many years.

What is the point of using this service if they control what you post? They have cut out my review because it was negative and they didn't like the "WAY" I said it... WE WANT TO HEAR FROM EVERYONE! Not just you're politically correct bunch of plastic people. I want to hear WHY the people are pissed off not just the sanitized version after you're done watering it down and "translating" it... THIS IS JUST ANOTHER BS LIBERAL MEDIA OUTLET...

Wow probably one of the worst doctors I've been to. My initial appointment was for 40 min. Insurance company was charged for sleep test that lasts over 1 hr and you have to be prepared for this test. Doctor's billing department billed me for this test as it was performed in my first appointment total amount of $1550. 00 and test was NEVR performed!
This doctor is trying to make as much money as possible including charging for unperformed tests you and your insurance and do not care about your health at all.

Injured my foot in December 2019, but it showed no signs of injury, until April 2020 during the pandemic had dr's offices lockdown. I tried to see a doctor, finally after talking to 5 other doctor's trying to decide what the problem was, even thought it was gout turned out not being gout. Went to National Spine and Pain Center. Dr Kunal Sood and Rebekka Miller-PA, after my first injection the pain went from 10 to a 5, they diagnosed the pain almost immediately. Thanks for a miracle, I thought I would never get relief.

Lately, I've noticed a trend by certain medical providers to bombard me with requests for reviews on Healthgrades. Most patients want to establish a positive relationship with their doctors and will tend to provide a 5 Star review. That assumes things went well. Sometimes that sentiment is short lived when things cause you to think differently. When you attempt to remove or edit your review on this site, it's intentionally made to be very difficult.
I have dealt with doctors who start off on their best behavior. They are marketing themselves. Soon, they're pushing unnecessary, expensive tests and treatments to pump up fees. Depending on your insurance, you can be on the hook for BIG and unnecessary deductibles.
Dentists do this often. The ultimate goal is to extract a certain amount of money from your wallet because they have a revenue target. The same goes for doctors employed by facilities such as HMO's. They push unnecessary x-Rays and lab tests to increase profits. Both are part of the root cause for skyrocketing insurance, low reimbursement rates, and everyone feels the pain. The patients, who are not qualified, find themselves questioning the doctor's decisions if they think they've been victimized. This is risky and insane. Healthgrades benefits by more site visitation and higher ad revenue. It's all about money, plain and simple.
Healthgrades has been cited numerous times for encouraging doctors to get patients to fill out their surveys as a fix to smooth out complaints them. The high volume of 5 Star surveys results in real negative reviews getting buried or deleted. I say this because I have seen many instances of providers with over 100 perfect ratings despite many of them being inept and unethical. Healthgrades is deceptive. The mere fact that editing reviews is next to impossible bears that out.
Your best bet is to avoid Healthgrades and not be quick to review something as critical as medical care until you feel confident. Their ratings are flawed. As humans, we do things based on emotion and ultimately conclude that we rushed to judgment.

It took me over a year to find a doctor who would come to my home. When I finally located Dr. Devang Patel, I found a smart and compassionate human being that literally saved my life. By recognizing my symptoms I went to the hospital. I was told that if I had waited any longer I wouldve not made it. Thank you Dr. Patel.
