Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from Freelancer staff and previous consumers.
It is not safe at all. This is supposed to be a platform to bring an artist and someone seeking original material from individuals. Freelancer does NOTHING to ensure original material and if any issues arise, they pass the process back to you to chase up with the person who provided unoriginal material even after you provide Freelancer evidence confirming the same. This is a very poor run sight and if you have issues and raise a complaint, pathetic service in fixing the issue. We had this problem, took us over 3 months to come to some resolution, and only after many emails with legal threats... their response was always very none commital and were trying to assume we would go away. Don't risk your money... you get get trusted work locally where you are, or find another site, this site is PATHETIC.
I was Scammed by Freelancer.com and I want their website to be shutdown why is Authorities still allow them to operate?
In my case, I bid, I was hire, I did the job, send the archives, all through the system... and never got paid! I've been complaining with support for a month... I give up, but I cant even close my account!
I work from home. My earning starts from $1,000 per month. In Ukraine it is enough to keep my family.

Hi Jose, I may be 3 years late to answer this but if you are talking about reviews on SiteJabber regarding Freelancer, I just dropped one so probably real since I was asked by support if I would voluntarily create one. If you are referring to reviews on individual freelancers, I can also vehemently say they are real as I've seen some pretty raw reviews from job posters so it is not all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows.
