Hi D S, While it is probably good to test your skills, it is not compulsory. Skills tests are for the benefit of recruiters to see your basic level of competency. Having said that, some of the other platforms have done away with the skills tests because it is not a guarantee that the freelancer will be competent in each project. What is important, is that you invest in your own career development with some excellent free online courses and when you are awarded a project, give it your all and meet the deadline so that you build up a reputation as a quality freelancer. People are not taken in by 'tests' anymore, they eant to see real results!
