Is this a real site or some kind of scam?

Is this a scam? I noticed on our local Craig's List that several ads have been placed for very cheap products. E.g. A complete WII system for $155. There are several ads and each points to a different web site. www.direct-buye.com, www.eleckingdom.com, etc... The web sites all look the same with the same products advertized.

Whether or not this site is a scam, I don't think anyone should ever, under any circumstances, pay with Western Union. If anything - anything - goes wrong it is just impossible to get your money back.

Hello all so Sal A did your friend ever got the refund? Coz i a in the same case with steadysale.com and they want me to pay 50% tax fees so i am kinda hesitating since i have ordered for 600 but they seem so sure and serous so what do u advise?

Are they saying for you to get your items out of customs it will cost you 50% in taxes and fees and you need to pay them? If so that's not correct. The shipping company DHL, TNT, UPS takes care of any taxes and duties when an item comes into the country for delivery. Then you get a bill from the shipping company. If you received a tracking number call the shipping company with that tracking number and see what the hold up is. If this place wants you to send them more money to get the item out of customs they are just scamming you for more money. More than likely the money you sent them is also gone. Also just a word of caution. Any place that wants you to send money via western union or wire trnasfer to a personal account or name. It's a scam.

Buyer Beware!
I thought I was purchasing a 40” LED TV… On January 7th I sent this www.eleckingdom.com $294 USD for this TV. A few days later I was told that my TV was hung up in customs, and that it would take 15 days for this www.eleckingdom.com to recover. 15 days later, I contacted www.eleckingdom.com and was then told that my TV was damaged in customs, and that I would need to send another $80 USD as they stated the manufacture would not replace the TV as it was not their fault the TV was damaged. www.eleckingdom.com claimed they could not cover the additional $80 because their profits were low. www.eleckingdom.com did offer to give me a Sony MP3 player for payment of the additional $80. I had already felt that I had been taken for so I replied to www.eleckingdom.com that they were showing poor customer service by not delivering per the original agreement. They responded… “We will pay for the fine and try our best to solve the issue”. This was on January 31st. They will not respond to any instant messages or emails I send. THIS IS A HOAX! DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY! YOU WILL NOT GET ANY ITEM REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH THEY PROMISE YOU OR TELL YOU THEY WILL DO!

The sad thing is that I filed a police report in my local police department and they said they will investigate but that if the website it's truly in China there's very little that they can do so in other words there's nothing that can be done. I gave the police copies of all e-mails an Western Union payment because I just didn't want to stay with my arms crossed!: (

You can do a Whois.net search on who originally set up this website. My friend got her money stolen from this company! They may allow some products to pass customs but they are 100% a bunch of theves! The website is shut down because these bums are taking the cash money made from Western Union and running. Any company not allowing CC payment options or many options of payment you can't trust!

I have been emailing people from the us embassy trying to see who to contact to get this place shut down.
I hope no one else gets scammed. I think we should get all of the people who got scammed to work together and shut them down!

Yep! I got hosed too... The worst part- I'm a lineman and froze my@ss off in NY working an ice storm for the money that they STOLE from me! You know, I might not feel as bad if I didn't work so hard for my money. If I could get away with it, I'd like to deal with these people the way they used to in Babylon: they'd cut off their hands! "F"ing slimebags!
