Many of the manufacturers are starting to sell direct from their websites.
You may get quicker availability going that way, but pricing doesn't seem to vary much on any given part number.
The great thing about Digi-Key is if you need less than production quantities, say for prototyping or such, you can get 1 piece or thousands, depending on your need.
