Do you have to spend money "bids" even if you don't win the bidding process?

Hi Lisa! Thank you for getting in touch.

If you do not win an auction you will not automatically get the bids back to your account. You have the option to use the Buy it Now button. By using the Buy it Now option you will get the item for retail price and all bids back to your account that you used in the auction. Users who take advantage of this option usually have a better experience, since they both get the item they initially wanted, as well as retain all their bids.

If you do not want to use Buy it Now you will unfortunately lose the bids. We recommend our users to bid on items they really want, so that if they lose the auction, they can still get the item and their bids back.

Let me know if you have more questions!

That is the exact logic I used and followed to the T! The only thing that was left out is when you receive the item that you really want that really cost a lot of money you don't get the same perks as someone whom bought it at a store or even online and what perks could I be talking about? Try a WARRANTY thats a pretty big perk so if you have a problem 6 months down the road the manufacture says it was registered before I ever got it and they're not liable for anything more than a $300 discount on a new TV there lowest model that is after I bought the one I really wanted off deals dash which was the top of the line model, but deals dash came through they offered me a shopping spree from there purse section and some other stuff I could careless about, but no item like I really wanted and didn't win so I bought for $1,299.00 and I got a used one with the wrong stand, thank god my son was spared when it crashed down on top of him so Im thankful, think twice is the message if it looks to good to be true? It probably is.
