If I opt out of the 10% fee do you just take it from the fundraising cause?

Hey Steve,

Thanks for reaching out and great question.

The fee percentage definitely varies from donation to donation. Whatever the amount is, if you decide not to cover it on behalf of the cause, it will initially be taken from their total donations raised. However, the cool part is if their project's overall effective rate exceeds 5% (half of the percentage you mentioned), CrowdRise will literally write them a check to make up the difference so they will end up paying either 5% (max) or less for the duration of the campaign.

Also, some Charities on CrowdRise are on a 3% guaranteed plan, so depending on which Organization you're helping, it may even be 7% less than you estimated in your question. So great.

Thanks again and if you have any other questions along the way, feel free to write us at Quintas@CrowdRise.com and we'll be all over it.
