Yes, I purchased a new tree from Costway 3 days after Christmas last year. It is defective and I am trying to either get a refund or replacement. I put it up a few days ago and the lights initially partially worked and after 3 days now all of the lights are dim or not lighting at all with a constant quick blink. I emailed them twice already with no response. There is no phone number to call. I have seen mixed reviews, but my personal experience has not been good so far.
