I believe there are many different issues. First off, I have had excellent responses with Care.com. They have changed alot, and yes there are alot of technical bugs, as I have been on here for 10 plus years, and have basically all 5 stars, (20 reviews total), only I have about 4 years in a few weeks apart, have 3 people whom say they wrote to me and we were to meet (child care and at that time, I was in Senior Care full time), and I did not show or call. This has been so upsetting to me that I ignored care.com for 3 years, they said that I had to live with this for the rest of my life. It is wrong. I contacted all three, they never responded. I said, I think you may have thought you were contacting someone else, as currently I am working full time in senior care and that is my focus.

It has upset me alot, that 1, they cannot relocate these into the childcare spot if they have to have them on there, and also how many years do I have to hear, wow you have 17 5 star beautiful reviews and 3 - 1's, how would that make any senior caregiver that does love the clients on care.com and have had great sucess feel?

I now see that other people have friends that have known them give them 5 stars and have known them for 40 years. I was merely being honest and real. If I was worth a 1 to anyone, I would not be in this business. I tried about 4 years ago to show that these childcare reviews were in the senior care section not giving me a solid five. For a caregiver that has the integrity and professionalism to go above and beyond, this is about the principal of the matter, I do hope that Shiela the CEO reads this, because there really has to be a better system.

I was doing everything to contact these strangers, and they never answered back. All I could do was text, as I truly did not have their numbers back then.

Diane, thank you for asking the question. It is very hurtful. We work hard, make far less than the living wage in Washington State, and we are further hurt by the company that really should believe in us. I am a premium member and have my background check posted. I have nothing to hide. I appreciate this site to state fact(s) that not all clients are completely honest, as well as I believe there may be caregivers that are not as well. But when you look at my ratings, you will say "something is off" and she is right, why are those lowering her senior care score.

Thanks to all my fellow care.com listeners. We all have voices, as long as we are appropriate, and just asking a question that is the beauty of where we live in the United States.

Debbie
